Coming back to the match, I might be a bit optimistic here but are things really as bad as they seem?

Okay, in essence we are 14 for five. But Rahul Dravid is batting beautifully out there, and he has his favorite partner VVS Laxman there for company. The only threat really is Mendis, seeing as he has dismissed the two batsman together seven (?) times already. But see him off, Dravid playing his fort building, gruelling game and Laxman getting the runs, we could have these two bat until tea and be in a decent position for a draw.

Forcasts of rain are there as well, and if we lose half a session or two we have a chance.

Kolkata 2001 again please. Our only hope in taking the series, really. That or a Dravid masterclass will do, but the way things are going for us now, I wouldn't be surprised otherwise.

But, I guess losing the series won't be such a bad thing, we should learn a lesson and pick someone like Praveen Kumar in the squad next time, our bowling looks completely spinless at times, and plus Praveen is a handy batsman too. Our batting needs to move forward too, but I guess it's harsh to kick anyone out because of this series.

Zaheer and Ishant look good on occasion but at times can be very very sloppy.
I don't know what's wrong with Kumble, I think it's time to call it a day. He just looks tired and seems as if he's dragging his feet a bit.

We need a lot of ship-shaping to do before the Aussie series, that's fo' sho'.
