Sri Lanka A v West Indies - 3 day First Class warm up match - Premadasa Stadium, Colombo

Pitch: 22 - A carefully prepared home track that will probably favour the spinners late in the match.
Batting should be fairly easy for the first couple of days, but thereafter the spinners should find things increasingly in their favour.
Not much in it for the quickies at any time.


Day 1 pitch: 2A - Dry and Grassless - Good for Batting.

Weather: 2 - Hot and sunny

R.A.Harper OB for West Indies will miss this match with a Stomach Bug.

Pitch: 70 - Overnight rain seeped under the covers and the pitch maybe lively for the first hour or two.
Should play well once the moisture has dried out so batting first may not see the best of conditions.
However with the spinners probably getting some help late in the game it will take a brave skipper to field first.

Day 1 starting Pitch: 7 - Uneven Bounce, favours all Bowlers.

Weather: 2 - Hot and sunny

M.R.Ramprakash OB will miss 2 matches with Hamstring Trouble.

I made a bowling card for Ijaz Ahmed snr, the player you wanted to use as an all rounder.
You may add him to your list of all rounders if you like, he did bowl quite a lot of LM in the 1992 World Cup.

Also you may add Shoaib Mohammad to list of part time bowlers, he bowled a lot in ODIs in the mid 80's.

They are both carded to average about 64.0 at 4.0 runs per over.
This is about as bad as it gets in this game, but can still produce a lucky wicket.
If there are any other part timers you want to use, they may use the same stats.

You will find bowlers already carded like Saleem Malik and Javed Miandad are rated better than
this.

Also, for example, a specialist bowler such as England's I.D.K.Salisbury LBG is better than part time in this game due to good A team performances and First Class stats, he is still a bowler and might average more like 45, but I can only guess for already carded players, I have no way of knowing exactly.
I can tell who have good strike rates and who are expensive, but little else.
You will find legends such as Imran Khan will match their career Test stats, and good First Class players who played very few Tests might average about 75% of their FC average, or better if they had a good ODI record.

Just some news, any manager may name a part timer to bowl if he bowled enough in First Class or Test matches to justify it.
He will use a generic part timers card if he doesnt already have a bowling card, it will produce Bowling Average 64.0, Runs Per Over 4.0
You will find all specialist bowlers will do better than this, more in one with First Class performances in cases such as I.D.K.Salisbury LBG.

Examples of players in this class might be:

Inzamam-ul-Haq SLA
A.D.Jadeja RM
