Mafia: Discussion, History and Waiting List Thread

Someone not playing Scooby Doo mafia (or is dead there) and wanting to see the roles is more than welcome. I'd actually like to discuss it with someone who knows the game well. Just for some fun. :p

I actually really enjoy modding, sometimes more so than actually playing because I love creating the roles and seeing how the game plays out.
This. I loved doing it in PC mafia and same in SD mafia. I'd like to mod more games in future as well. As you said, a great learning thing. Improves one as a player.

Bilal, sent you all that you need to know. :D

I reckon it would be funny to run a game where everyone is town and the mod just randomly kills someone every night :p

If a certain user 'barmyarmy' randomly gets killed on night 1, then? :p

After playing a bunch of games I decided I wanted to try modding my own. Hence I've created an 18 player Wild West themed mafia with all the characters created by me and mafia provided with fake claims. Due to this, I hope there will be much more emphasis on anaylsing play style and the write-ups rather than just pressurising someone until they claim a confirmed townie character, then moving on to someone else.

All characters and roles are written and ready to go, so if someone wouldn't mind putting me on the waiting list that would be great.

Good luck with your game.

I don't see how you can get enough from analyzing play styles to find a mafia - gotta have some pressure. As for write-ups, well, if you actually put some clues in them, that could work. Of course, you then have issues of balancing the clues to both/all sides.

Of course you can still put pressure on people. But they'll actually have to defend the actions they have taken in the game rather than just going "I am Frodo so I must be town".
