Sai, it is not the confidence I think. He just wants to get some quite overs off these two. Don't know how well that would work though.

I think because Yuvraj and Pathan are easy to hit and are part timers, Dhoni is trying to finish as much of their overs before the slogging starts. He is keeping Harbhajan for the final 25 overs.

Seems like Dhoni had a fight with the CSK fellows and has lost favor. No signs of Raina or Ashwin, his CSK mates in any of the World Cup games till date. A loss here will certainly see these two in the team.
