March 12 : India vs South Africa

It will be funny and a shock if SA lose out of a quarterfinal spot, and they wouldnt want to put themselves in a tricky situation of having to face a shootout for the quarterfinal. All the more pressure for them, and Amla is trying to burden India with the "pressure" tag. The pressure is on SA. A shoot out vs Bangladesh is going to be quite challenging (remember Bangladesh are wounded tigers who have just bounced back)

arghhh

same thing all over again. Being fan of them for more than a decade and a half now, almost nothing has changed after cronje left. whether it was pollock's team or now smith's team, they are still saying the same thing "We are not chokers" or "We are not feeling any pressure" or since 2007 the new one is "This is a new team with mostly new players, what happened in past, they were not part of it, so it can't effect them"

for once they should just accept it, that they have failed in pressure situations in big matches too often (there are exceptions of course) and then deal with it head on rather than trying to sidestepping it every time and coming up with excuses.

I can bet SA will be a wet bread for Indians :p

but on a serious note,Indians are favorites and SA will have socre pile of runs to take the advantage of weak indian bowling

In my opinion, the Indian team took their matches against Netherlands and Ireland a bit lightly. Actually, the bowlers did well on flat tracks but the batsmen were a bit disappointing. In the 2nd match vs Netherlands, Sehwag and Sachin were going all guns blazing but both of them got out by playing a big shot. I don't see them doing the same thing today. They will not give away their wickets (I hope).

Dhoni's idea of not pressing the accelerator too early in this tournament (ie. not peaking too early) is all good to hear. But sometimes, you got to know when and how and how much to press the accelerator. From today, we have ideally 5 games to go (if we reach the semis and final). So if the accelerator has to be pressed, it should be pressed in full throttle today at Nagpur vs South Africa and should continue. And I will believe that if Dhoni picks Ashwin or another seamer in place of Chawla.

well if you removeSA's last game in you memory then Surely SA will stand a better chance. That flinging game allowed Eng to remain in hunt

India are batting first, and play three medium pacers (with Chawla dropped). I expected this move from Dhoni since the Nagpur track has more pace for the fast bowlers (no movement will be available though). Hope Nehra and Munaf along with Zaheer steer us clear.

Probably makes perfect sense to hit the first ball for 4, teams obviously can't put 5 men on the boundary, but they also don't try too hard with their catching men.

If they both continue till 15 overs the match will be seen with 350 to 400 runs score.

These two need to bat 10 overs at a minimum and it would give us an excellent platform for our innings.
