Mistake buying console version, lesson learned

if you've played with the reduced skills why is your only contribution to that thread "oh me, I just play AC09"?

if you've set teams per the suggestions in that thread, or downloaded the teams listed there, you'd be seeing a difference.

I see a difference in the quality of cricket, but still no real difference in the players. I could post a scorecard or two but they would be contrary to the great experience everyone else seems to be having.

that's bull. plenty of people are still complaining about trouble with the tail, in fact i'm in the minority saying I think i'm past the problem. the whole point of that thread is for people to share experience good & bad, share their set ups and get everyone to a better solution. your contribution has been "i play ac09" and now you're claiming you don't want to be in the minority?

i'm not sure if that sound I hear is the bullshit alarm or the troll klaxon, but there's no mistaking it's been set off by a moron.

No.

All you could expect is a patch for co-op as that is what I promised - amazingly enough some companies don't keep those, we do.

You're getting a lot of value I feel as there are many companies that would have at most added the promised co-op and then for everything else made you pay the price again for a "DBC15", we did not.

What's more is we actually listen to people here and implement community based change.

I thank the support of your purchase but keep your sense of entitlement in check - co-op was the only promise and the only thing you could expect anything else is a bonus.[DOUBLEPOST=1436505233][/DOUBLEPOST]

:)

So would you say it's reasonable for me to feel so frustrated at the fact that co-op still hasn't come to consoles? Co-op should have taken priority ahead of the patches released so far for consoles. You made a promise, and although you could technically wait another 20 years to deliver this promise and say, "I promised but I never said when", it's incredibly unreasonable for us/me to have had to wait for more than a year with still no co-op.

genuine question: would you rather have got co-op on top of patch 2.5 as a patch 3 and that was it for support (patch 3 was promised only because co-op wasn't delivered in patch 2), or would you rather wait for co-op and get it alongside a truly transformational patch? because that was the choice.

I would rather have got co-op on top of patch 2.5. The 1+ year wait is simply too long. I remember buying the PS3 version and keenly awaiting co-op within a month or two so I could play with my brother and others and get the true experience of running between the wickets and not having to pass the controller around which ruins the experience.

By the way, I appreciate the fact that we will be given a such a transformational patch (from what I hear). Some, if not many, would accept this as repayment for not being given a promised co-op mode for so long, but I sadly value co-op a lot more than others.

fair enough, if that's you're genuine opinion (but i think it's crazy)...

FWIW i think co-op is a basic functionality that really should have been in out of the box, but given the constraints of what was delivered, and the patching since i think we're getting the best of both worlds.

there was a long wait between 2.5 & the patch 3 process kicking off, and i was frustrated at the wait myself. but for people to complain now, as the OP did, when it's all on it's way is bizarre.[DOUBLEPOST=1436523555][/DOUBLEPOST]also, what is your family, the Waltons? Me and my brothers would have been playing vs!

Our true rivalry lies in the Fifa football games. We do play vs sometimes, but it tends to become a bit unrealistic and annoying. We almost exclusively use spinners mixing up 30mph deliveries drifting the ball massively along with quicker ones. So difficult to bat against! I've had so many LBWs with slow half trackers. And with pace bowlers, so hard to adjust for varying speed of deliveries at Veteran (the mode we usually play on). Online vs games are also like this, as we all known.

Anyways, I've played and enjoyed this game as much as I did Brian Lara 2005 game, which I never thought would happen with a cricket game. It's just sad that such a simple yet essential feature is not there.

We made the decision that the things patched so far were a priority.

Given the resources required for patches on console then it's entirely reasonable for the delay.

You're not waiting 20 years and I do not operate on technicalities, I tell it like it is.

This conversation is so heated I came out with a tan!

I have not the same sorrows like op excluding FPS issue which is good in PC version but try to look on the bright side : pc patches till 1.20 haven't improved much either.

tbh its always the same with PC versions of games; because it costs to ship a patch on the console platforms and not through Steam then its logical that PC users would get more up to date versions - the disadvantage of that is that developers are going to bug test a console patch more fully than they would a PC patch because releasing a bug-filled console patch is more damaging to them

So the other option would have been that we dumb down the game improvements, only do the minimum, get it done in a short timeframe and then the patches would sail through approvals. Those above get it earlier, which seems to be the biggest complaint (would have thought quality would be most important, but hey what would I know?), costs me less money, I've kept my promises to a minimum and everyone's happy except those that wanted a tan*

* @Markkkkk relatively, this is not a heated discussion, it's not even what i'd call "robust" there are other threads and places (FB) that you wouldn't get a tan you'd be roasted :)

if you get into an argument with random people you don't know on Facebook you're a bit thick imo

True. It's the only place I don't bother to get into arguments :)
