NBA Discussion Thread

Miami Heat was supposed to be the team to beat this season and they already lost their first match. :laugh But I expect them to be in the playoffs.

Well they ran into BC and BC had all guys playing except Jermaine O'Neal. Heat will make playoffs because they will steam roll lesser teams. But if they face Celtics in there, they will not have it easy.

I am more interested in Thunders this season. Imagine Thunder vs Lakers again in playoffs.

I didn't know what you were talking about Thunder. So I checked and I see the Seattle SuperSonics now are named Oklahoma City Thunder: Oklahoma City Thunder - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Reason for the reallocation was a dispute between the owner of Seattle SuperSonics and lawmakers in Seattle. That must have been quite a dispute. You don't let that easily depart a NBA team from your town.

There have been many teams which have moved franchise to other cities. Memphis Grizzlies is one of recent cases.

After beating Heat Celtics loose to Cavs. :laugh

Haha. I think Miami is going to Cleveland some time soon. Should be a great homecoming for LeBron. :D

Big Florida match up today with Miami taking on Orlando. I predict that Dwight Howard is going to absolutely abuse the heat down low (25-30 points, 20 boards) but the Heat will pull out the win because their backcourt is much stronger than the Magic's.

I just watched Miami Heat vs Orlando Magic. I was expecting more from Orlando. Especially since they scored 9 straight points in the 1st quarter.

But Heat broke them down in the 3rd quarter and after that the match was already decided.

Magic were screwed when Dwight got in foul trouble and Wade/LeBron started hitting threes. If both of these guys heat up from outside it's game over for any opponent.

Also, the support was not there. Rashard Lewis and Quentin Richardson both hit 0 from the field. Dwight had 8 field goals. I think the rest of the team had like 12.

Kings lost their 2nd game. 1-1 no. I will be honest, I never expected them to win their 1st game. So 1-1 ain't so bad :p

Man I don't mind the Lakers but everyone else associated with their franchise--fans, announcers, etc. make me dislike them. Such arrogance.

I seems to have been converted. It was my least liked team along with Spurs. Spurs are still at that level but Lakers have moved up a notch since Shaq has left.

I don't mind the Lakers team at all. I didn't really like Shaq either (I'm a fan of him now because the dude has a great sense of humor). But the fans and everyone associated with the team who is not part of the actual team (i.e. fans, commentators, etc.) are absolutely arrogant.

I hate the Spurs and the Jazz.

I hate the Spurs too, mostly because that is the only thing people from San Antonio talk about

Spurs are easy to hate:

Tim Duncan looks like a goofball.
Tony Parker is not only French, he is also married to Eva Longoria.
Ginobili is the biggest bitch on court.
