I just checked the numbers of overs that New Zealand batted (42.5 overs). I didn't see that they were bowled all out, at least at that time.

Elliott and Stewart really need to be dropped, if New Zealand want to make something out of the remaining ODI's.

Bangladesh have postponed their Test series against New Zealand scheduled for October, opting instead to play three additional ODIs to concentrate on their preparation for the 2011 World Cup in the subcontinent.

"It's a decision of the board and this morning we have conveyed our decision to the New Zealand cricket authorities," Enayet Hossain Siraj, head of cricket operations at the Bangladesh Cricket Board, told AFP. "We want to focus more on the World Cup and will play as many one-day matches as possible in the next months."

New Zealand Cricket's chief executive, Justin Vaughan, said they were comfortable with the change. "We have tours to Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and India all in advance of the World Cup so we are really keen to take the most advantage of that to prepare ourselves do really well in the World Cup," he told Radio Sport. "Playing a full ODI series in Bangladesh works out pretty well."

Bangladesh and New Zealand will play five ODIs, all at Mirpur's Sher-E-Bangla Stadium, and the two-Test series will be rescheduled for a date after the World Cup.

It's all good. We're still up with the other ODI sides. Unlike the West Indies who Bangladesh are about to overtake in the ODI rankings. They're better side too tbh so deserve it.

Bangladesh are capable of stunning teams in ODIs,but definitely not in Tests as of now. It will still take them a long time to do so. I am happy that the Tests have made way for the ODIs.

Why the bias ? Just cause the Banglas are ranked 10,it does not mean that by merely winning a 3 match ODI series against Australia they can reach No.5 ! The ranking are flawed, big time.

the west indies have beaten ireland, canada and zimbabwe once each in a series in the last 2 years, that's their only wins.

zimbabwe have only beaten kenya and ireland.

Bangladesh has beaten both the windies and zimbabwe every series they've played in the last 2 years (the ICC rankings do not care if you had contract disputes)

so what crazy rankings system are you using that would determine BNG the weakest full team in the world?

Not sure what bias there was talked about, but I am simply told the facts. Nothing more.

Also Bangladesh are ranked 9th in the ODI rankings.
