New Zealand in Bangladesh, October 2010/11

I never thought it was going to be a walk in the park, hence why i didn't put any of my vCash on either of the two matches in the vBookie, while others have been staking their whole fortunes there.

In New Zealand, New Zealand should always win, but in Bangladesh it's probably only 60 - 40 in favour of New Zealand.

Williamson and Tuffey need to come in for Stewart/Elliott and Southee/McKay.

One wicket's gone but it's not going to change anything.

O RLY?

you're getting gubbed and all of a sudden you're going to win the next two matches?

I'm stirring it a bit, but it's really no more than many NZ'ers deserve given the outraged way you acted when you lost the first one just assuming every match this series was going to be a walk in the park when bangladesh have been significantly improving over the last year and have pushed NZ close even before that.

We're bound to win a toss this series at some stage. Lets be honest. They've both been crucial. Look at the colour of the pitch and sky conditions now. Quote a contrast to when we started our innings. I'd also hope these 2 games make up for us having zero preparation. Chances are Elliott will finally be ditched for Williamson and Tuffey will come in for McKay or Southee and our side will be much stronger.

Bangladesh have improved and their conditions are very hard to play in. We're still streets above them in ability. We have a very young side here with Oram and Styris not here. This series is meaningless. The world cup is what is important and we're trying to build depth and give players some time in the sub-continent.

The heck? :facepalm
Well, this was bound to happen sooner or later as you cannot keep on performing beyond your potential (of the overall unit) time and again.
There's just not enough batting talent.
I wonder what's in store for them in the Indian tour. :p

Kayes goes as well. I just hope there are no more hiccups now.

Bangladesh can win this game easily, require run rate is just about 1.73. this has been a poor tour for New Zealand players.

holyshit! I hate Roqibul. 30 runs, flinging bang that ████ out!!

Shahriar Nafees lives on his "minnow basher" tag. He avg best vs NZ, then Zim, then Irl and then Ken. And most of his big scores came against them. Good for him. Used the chance to get back in the team.

I was afraid of Imrul killing us with his SR of 30, but Nafees covered for Tamim very well so far.

Wasn't Williamson supposed to be the next big thing? They should at least stick with him. They should drop Stewart.

Or Watling or Elliott. Let's be honest here though, one or two changes to this New Zealand team are hardly going to do a lot, it's more of a team thing imo. They've come to Bangladesh and have totally underestimated them as a team - Heck Vettori said if they nullify Shakib they'll win. Bangladesh as a team have become rather strong at home over the past couple of years, your've just got to hope that the New Zealand team haven't come over here expecting to win with minimal effort.

The thing that makes this effort so good for Bangladesh is that they're doing it without two of their best players available.

Lol, it's been 2 years and some ████ don't ever change. Last time they were losing 1st 2 ODI, this very same guy was blaming it on the toss and the pitch and bullshit.

Pitch is the same. The sun was out in the morning as well. If have eyes you would've seen it. Don't blame the pitch, you guys just got out played.

I mean I don't blame them, for all these BS, it must hurt to lose against a team that is worse than Zim A, right?

I am off. This is getting boring. Nafees should've been out there and hit some more.

I hate Roqibul.

Yet another fluke for Bangladesh, the only way they can win matches is when rain comes down or a batsman or bowler in the opposition side gets injured.
Hopefully, now when Bangla win this you don't come with something like this.

raqibul is the best thing in bangladesh as far as middle order batsmen go, though yes, this is perhaps a little overly cautious.

one thing I don't agree with that Irotev said is; that "ability wise" NZ are streets ahead of BNG. Experience wise, definitely, skill wise, yeah, but that's down to the experience and time to hone those skills, but ability wise? kane williamson, southee, and a bunch of the other really young players in NZ have failed to make any impact as yet on the international scene. BNG on the other hand have a team full of young players getting by on their ability. compare the talent at the under 21 or 22 level that's playing in the full team and guys like tamim, shakib, rahim, raqibul, shafiul compare favourable with their young NZ counterparts.

I hope they actually give Bennett a go. It seems pointless bringing someone then not even playing them like they did with Boult in Aussie a couple of years back. Id bring in Bennett and Tuffey for Southee and McKay. On the batting side i'm not sure what they'll do at the moment but How will surely be worth a go in the next series.

Why on earth are they giving out awards for best six and fastest fifty?? its like IPL started early
