Pakistan Tour of Australia 2009/10

Cameron White, just like Callum Ferguson, will be huge flops in Test cricket, don't bother.

Ferguson just plays the ball without any notable technique, and White has such a cramped up straight technique, that he'll edge every cover drive.

The best replacement for North is either: Khawaja or S.Smith or Hughes

I'll go for Hughes coz I'm a HUGE fan of his ;)

Hughes is the simple answer, drop Watto down to 6 and it'll be all good. Or (not been biased here) we should consider George Bailey or even Tim Paine and have either him or Haddin as specialist batsmen. Or you could bring in just the whole Tassie side, not including Ponting, and make that the Aussie side. But then who would play for Tassie?

Ferguson has handled the step up to the International just fine. White looks to be adjusting to the next level, how he goes in the next two ODI series should decide his future. But both are performing in ODIs which is the selectors best gague to determining if the player can make the step up. Others have failed like David Hussey and Hodge and thus have;t made it or survived Test cricket.

If an opener would move down, it would be Katich to 4 and Hussey to 6 imo.

Hussey at 6 wouldn't be a bad option. Hes the best player to bat with the tail, he even loves it and makes 100s batting with them. Hes also the rescuer in the ODI side so no reason why he can't do the same in Test.

The problem I see isn't North so much as North and Clarke and Ponting all at once. I don't know what has happened to Clarke lately, but I think Ponting could be in better form if he just backed off a little, at least early on.

Maybe try North open for a bit? Maybe him actually knowning that he'll be batting might help him?

Well Pakistan failed in Everything so far
Politics, Sports and leadership.
They need a Good Captain to lead them and Yousuf is NOT that person.

TBH, I don't think Yousuf is to blame as much as people think he is. The person who I would really blame is Kamran Akmal, the guy is shocking. Saw him drop loads of catches in the penultimate innings and I remember him literally throwing his wicket away in Pakistan's first innings. Umar Akmal's shot in the last innings was ridiculous. Still in T20 mode if you ask me.

I didn't said I "blame" Yousuf but I am saying that he isn't the Leader that Pakistan needs.
Kamran Akmal was rubbish behind the stumps and at batting.
Mesbah should just retire now.
