Pakistan Tour of Australia 2009/10

Form is temporary, class is permanent. This old saying cannot be truer of Punter, our legend. Only fools write off true sporting legends. I hope when he does retire he goes out on a big high, and and shoves hit bat up the ass of his haters. :hpraise

Never expected such a comment from you :laugh

But yes I agree, there are too many Ponting haters these days.

Ponting was great today as was Clarke. Was good seeing those players back in form. I especially am a fan of Clarke. Ponting was obviously lucky not to be out for another duck though. You get luck now and then though. It's not unlucky for Pakistan that the catch was dropped. Their fielding standard is atrocious and it simply must improve. It's not up to test level. they can't expect to win games with such easy catches going down.

Australias day. Dominated the last 2 sessions after even honors in the first session. Can see Pakistan's batting crumble under the pressure from a big total too with so many changes and new players.

I remember going to the MCG in 94 and getting Punters autograph in an Australia vs Australia A match, he was really nice and chatted for awhile, Langer and Hayden also were great even back then when talking to fans and not letting their ego get in the way. Every time Ive seen Punter sign autographs through his whole career he always talks a lot to the kids, he gives his time very graciously. Champ.

Very Hayden like, he got dropped when he was out of form in Perth and after that he went on to a career best patch. Nice to see Clarke silence the critics as well, to think some were calling for him to be dropped!

LOL at Pakistan, how much worse can they get? Bowling outside off-stump, how are you suppsoe to get wickets like that? Especially to guys who won't play a bad shot 99%of the time.

Yes, as Michael Clarke has shown all summer right :sarcasm The tactics were worth a try IMO, whether they were used too long is a different story.

Australia owned Pakistan! Ricky Ponting finally shows why he's captain (to the pakistanians), and Michael Clarke shows why he's vice, good job Aus :banana2

I was a little worried at 3/71, but Ponting and Clarke have done an excellent job today, theres no doubting that.
I don't see why the Pakistanis kept such neagtive tactics going for so long, it just seemed like a waste to me.

it's always jayawardene and someone. he needs to get the 5th wicket record to complete the set of all the highest middle order partnership wickets.
