Oh I am not giving him no credit. He did very well to get a 50 considering that none of the other batsmen did but he's not making the most of that talent. He's so very talented and I want to see him doing well. He played very well but needed to look at the larger picture and see that if he got out, he would have only dug an even deeper hole for Pakistan (which he has done now). Plus, he was settled. If he got out to an unplayable delivery, that's fine, but he could have resisted the temptation on that delivery.

He took it to the opposition at least, which none of the other pakistani's have done so far. It's better than what Yousuf had done. So at least he played his game.

Johnson to Misbah-ul-Haq, no run, edged and dropped by Ponting at second slip. Fuller and outside the off stump and Misbah pushes away from his body and gets the edge and Ponting drops a sitter with his hands pointing upwards.

he was last seen with Younis Khan, before that drop catch.

seriously though, i hate that "OZ" way of catching. hands pointing upwards. i mean its fine when you take high catches like that so if you do miss it, that way you will have a 2nd shot at it. but not all the time. even when its a low catche, i've seen Ponting take it that way, bending his knees and figures pointing up ...

Misbah is just not comfortable against the quicks. Too old to keep him around when theres guys like Alam, Manzoor and jamshed around

Now, I would say this about all of their middle order, but with virtually no batting left behind them, these two really have to play naturally and make runs. It's rarely a problem for Kamran, but the way Misbah ul-Haq plays in Tests is just not the way he is suited.

Agreed, he just lacks something the other bowlers have.

I'd hate to see Siddle drop out. The other three are all the same age, while most rate Siddle as the best young quick in the country.

Plus he's the only Vic!

Great effort from Misbah, he settled down well, farmed the strike, protected Ajmal and played some decent shots. Just a shame that by the time he got there there was no one to bat with him. Did not see Kamrans dismissal but Its disappointing either way, from just looking at the scorecard seems he gave it away.

Going to be at least 5 sessions from hell for Pakistan to save this match tomorrow and day 5
