Hoping Dhoni pulls off a rabbit out of the hat and comes out to open! Dhoni and Hussey it should be! Vijay, Badri, Jadeja should not bat at all....

Another slog fest in Bangalore! Its fine to have batsmen score lot of runs, but this is discouraging too much for the bowler.

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE FROM DHONI & VIJAY!!! No intention at all to win here... Vijay is batting as if he is practicing for the South Africa tests. Dhoni pushes himself back and lets bravo out! WTF!!

They are not even interested in No.1 spot! They have given up after the first innings itself....

The coward sends even Bravo ahead him! :lol

The same 'coward' came out ahead of the Man of the tournament and the rampaging form Yuvraj Singh in the final of that 2011 World Cup and won the game and the World Cup for India. In this same IPL tournament against Rajasthan, when Hussey and Vijay fell quickly, Dhoni came out and played an uncharacteristically aggressive innings and failed.

Instead of showing stupid and unnecessary aggression and being adamant that 'I will only play my natural game even if the team I am playing for is hurt by my approach', being cowardly occasionally is not wrong. Guys like this stay around longer and are anydays better than guys who will only play the natural game that they know (or using it to cover their inadequacies).....

Back on the game, Gayle and all others should seriously stop the Gangnam... Its just so friggin' awful and boring to see the Gangnam being repeatedly used as a crowd pleaser. Doing it to the point where its getting on the nerves. Gilly doing it was fine because he never did it before. But Gayle.... come on!

Though Vijay scored runs in the end, he was the culprit. Even Hussey came out and bashed the first ball for four. But Vijay was trying to play himself in, in a game where he needed to bash from the start. One good thing this game that we saw was the form of Zaheer Khan. 4 wkts and that too all of them top scalps (Hussey, Raina, Dhoni and Jadeja). And Zaheer looked a lot slimmer now. Looks like he is doing something to get back into the Indian side. But still, he needs to work a lot more if he wants to land onto that plane to South Africa.

Well that went horribly wrong, just got to forget it and get on with the playoffs, and oh, we finish #1 for the 1st time in IPL history! :D

I still wanted us to beat RCB! Just like Indians hate losing to Pakistan, Chennai fans hate losing to Bangalore. Anyways, hope we get our focus back and concentrate on not wasting time and reaching the final with just one game. Dont want us to put pressure on ourselves and wait for Qualifier 2 to see if they get to the final. It will be a fourth consecutive final if we get there.

Lol CSK never had the intention to win from the word GO!

Vijay was doing some net practice,Hussey looked dis interested to bat,not sure what Bravo was doing,MSD was just smiling after scoring 1's.The bowling too lacked lusture. It looks asthough CSK did not have any work in the hotel and so they came here for some timepass.

Very bad attitude from CSK.Whatmayhappen we are No.1 is the thing that is in their minds.

I am a big fan of MV but the way he batted today, phew!I just wondered if any test series was upcoming next week.Eventually he finished with a S/R of 168 courtesy two loose balls.

The way Hussey came out and started off and the way Vijay started off is a stark reminder of why the Indians lag behind in terms of the winning spirit. Australians always want to keep winning, no matter what and Hussey proved it by coming out and bashing the very first ball. In contrast, Vijay nudges his first few balls for singles to get himself going. Indian players need to inculcate that 'always keep winning' mantra.

A honest observation is that CSK did not want to win. MSD could have been sent up the order. His sheepish post match comment took me by surprise. " For us, CSK, the game begins after the 8th over"

Agreed, but if this were the IPL final, would you still have batted in a similar manner.

CSK does play the waiting game. Certain situations though demand more out of a team. Very much disappointed with their effort yesterday.

You need a bit of Sehwag for that sort of an opening. Ever heard of an opener hitting the first ball of 5 consecutive World Cup matches for a boundary?
Seriously hope we get that gem of a team back in form, the XI from WC2011. Ever since the exclusion of those stars, the Indian cricket has gone a bit lackluster.

CSK's strength is not their bowling. If a mighty total is put up in front of them, they would falter. Their main issue is they cannot boost themselves up from the word 'GO'.

CSK will be under pressure when you have such curtailed games. They are dangerous when they spend time out in the middle. If this was a 20 over game with RCB scoring 230-240 runs in 20 overs, CSK would have challenged it big time. But when CSK has to start firing from the word GO, they can be put into trouble. They need to work on that area next and find players who can start firing from the beginning.

Its not that CSK didn't want to win. They were not that keen to win. A win would have been a bonus for them here. I wanted them to win because it was against rivals RCB, but even I went into the game relaxed knowing that CSK was in Top 2 and with MI's big loss, CSK would eventually end up table toppers....

The match against punjab if we would have gone with rampaul instead of muralitharan we should have won that match zaheer bowled beautifully it was pressure which was not kept from other end henriques gone for 12 runs in his both overs. but its gone now hope today kkr will beat srh :p

Personally, I wanted KXIP in the playoffs. Since they are no longer in the reckoning, I'd be supporting RCB.

Hyderabad lost out my support simply because they sold the team to a new person. Missing Gayatri Reddy here :p
