I wonder who authorized the release of that extremely poorly written statement from Sahara. It's hard to believe that they were extremely professional in their relationship with BCCI when their press release hasn't been written or edited by a professional. Full of grammatical mistakes and inappropriate usages. IIRC, the statement they released during their 2012 pullout was also written in a very similar way.

Great support for CSK, didn't look like an away game, so much yellow in the crowd Like I said before, on their day CSK is just too strong for any team. Amazing team!

Really? From the few bits I saw of the game, I saw mostly MI fans. And I thought Delhi crowd might be anti-CSK due to the cold war that often exists between Sehwag/Gambhir and Dhoni, and also the fact that Kohli is the captaincy rival to Dhoni.

There was equal support (guessing from the noise the crowd made for events in the game). But, the yellow colour is easily recognizable. In the close up shots, you could see blue too, though it was over shadowed by the vibrant yellow colour.

Hope for another CSKvsMI clash for the finals. With these 2 teams clashing at such high stage, it doesn't get any better.

DO be fair, Mumbai was always one batsmen short and Munaf what a bad choice. (better of playing Nita Ambani)

Never the less, Raina and Hussey played beautifully. Not going to take anything away.

Haha, yea, Nita Ambani would've done better than Munaf. But then, you gotta feel for Munaf. Just played the couple of beginning games & now he's been called back in the playoffs. I reckon they go with Rishi Dhawan if Kulkarni is unfit.
Our batting has looked a bit fragile in the games since Sachin got injured. Desperately need him back, he's got that aura which causes others to perform, lifts the spirit.

End of the day, you can't take it away from Raina & Hussey. I'd rate this innings of Raina above the ones against SRH & KXIP as this came in a pressure game, a playoff match. Splendid display of batting on a track worthy of it.

You act as though Sahara are the only company in the world that can pump that much money into the BCCI, they're not, the BCCI will just auction it off and we'll find an equally good/better sponsor who hopefully won't bitch as much.[COLOR="Silver"

Nope, not that way.

Its just that the Indian market is not looking up these days. The most recent example I can cite of ,is that of Sun TV who bought the Hyderabad franchisee for just R 425 Crore as opposed to the whopping amounts being paid in 2010.

The point is if BCCI loses a major sponsor,its going to be hard to get a sponsorship of an equivalent amount.

I obviously want RR to win today but when i woke up i realised i had a dream that the finals is CSK vs SRH and SRH winning the cup!No offence to SRH,i like them but i want only RR or CSK to win it badly

End of IPL,doubt if IPL6 will end.Too much of fixing and betting on.Betting is not actually as worst as fixing though but betting isnt legal in India i am afraid.IPL has ended on the lowest,started at a high level 6 years back.

But one good thing,all the frauds and cheats will be out and first N.Srinivasan should be kicked out of BCCI,infact every guy should be kicked out and we should put former greats like Gavaskar,Vishwanath etc in those positions who played the game with dignity and surely wont allow these third grade activities.


Hope Indian Cricket gets a new phase after this.

IPL should end right now!!! tough to decide what's real in it and what's not, and what part is our corrupt BCCI playing in it, the three guys who are caught are just the tip of the iceberg, can't say how much more fixing was involved overall. Frustated of constant negative news coming up about the IPL.

Whenever there is too much money associated with something, corruption and chaos just follows. Really disappointed with the way things are going on.

Agreed that Srinivasan should be out. But that's for the obvious conflict of interest more than anything.

On the other point, good cricketers are very unlikely to be good administrators. Cricket administration needs good managerial, financial and leadership skills more than anything. They are not your average cricketer's skill-sets.

I said that because those players played the gentleman sport with a great integrity and a sense of belonging to the country.

A mighty close match this is going to be. SRH are very good at defending these type of scores in this IPL, and Rajasthan have only these two current recognised batsmen, Hodge and Samson. The required run rate is more than attainable, but a wicket might turn things.

Edit: As I say it, Hodge bashes two sixes. I don't mind either team winning. I would love a RR vs CSK final, so I should say "Go RR"!! And its 18 runs off Karen Sharma.... White needs to bring in Steyn now. No use keeping Steyn till the end.

White is an idiot!! Hodge is going to finish this match off pretty soon with these sixes. Where is Steyn?

With Steyn going for 10 runs that over, its safe to say that RR have qualified for the Champions League and for Qualifier 2 v Mumbai. Perera and Sammy remain to bowl the last two. Its RR's match to lose.
