Martin Guptill, Matthew Wade, Aaron Finch and Quinton De Kock didn't get teams. I'm lost for words..

Your going to stay like that . None of them are really good in the sub continent, Quinton got signed @ the last second . Guptill is in bad form , Finch's recent performance hasn't been amazing , Wade as stated by Ashu nobody needed a WK , but De Kock got lucky .

Nahh De Kock has been doing great recently got high hopes for him in this tournament.

I heard Fleming talk up about getting a local bowling leader for the Super Kings, and that they wont sign up any overseas players as they fear they might lose the local connect. And yet, they go for Chris Morris, Akila Dananjaya and Dirk Nannes? Perplexing...

Nannes is nonetheless a decent buy. With Bollinger losing out with CSK and the erratic form of Hilfenhaus, Morkel and Southee, Nannes might be a good buy. But Dananjaya's buy is hilarious. With Ashwin, Jadeja and Jakati, why do you need another spinner is beyond reasoning. And we still don't have a good local Indian fast bowler in our ranks.

These owners aren't smart at all. 400k for Ponting when you can get twice as good a T20 player in Aaron Finch for half the price.

Moises Henriques and Ravi Rampaul were good buys for RCB, but wasted so much amount for RP Singh

On RP i guess no look RCB wanted a Indian fast bowler with among the 4 available he was the best so there is a logic behind his pick and he is one of the leading wicket taker in the IPL so no doubt's he was picked TBF i really cursed them in buying Jaydev Unadkat & Pankaj Singh with Mithun & Arvind in i don't see the logic behind their pick's :facepalm but waht the best they did is that they bought Daniel Christian who makes in any XI :thumbs

So my RCB XI would be

01. Chris Gayle

02. Abhinav Mukund

03. Virat Kohli

04. AB de Villiers (WK)

05. Mayank Agarwal

06. Saurabh Tiwary

07. Moises Henriques

08. Vinay Kumar

09. Abhimanyu Mithun/Harshal Patel/KP Appanna

10. RP.Singh

11. Muttiah Muralitharan

Well MSD has loved to play with the spinners so it has someting with Dananjaya's buy i recon its hard to pick him than Mendis CSK went with a good buy :thumbs

Oh C'mon! She bought the legendary Manpreet Gony for you fans.

I don't know what a legend he is i never saw him winning a match for his team :noway

----------

But Luke was the best buy

Ricky Ponting for MI.. !!
Two Greats of Cricket to Open The Innings- Would be a Great Sight to Watch. Now i am Planning to go for IPL Match Between Sun Risers Vs Mumbai Indians At Hyderabad.

Well hope SRH won't loose :thumbs any how i think Ricky will bat 1 down as usual and yeah interesting, MI wanted Ricky in the team so they did buy guess its the marketing factor :thumbs

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar to lead MI ind the 6th edition of IPL Source

I'm sure Delhi Daredevils won't be gunning for anymore overseas players with the likes of KP, Mahela, Ross Taylor, Warner, Morkel, Andre Russell and van der Merwe already in the team.

Among the Indian players, most are pace bowlers and DD is already flooded with good Indian pacers. I hope they bid high on Abhishek Nayar and try to get him. Another solid Indian all rounder along with Irfan Pathan in the team will make DD a team to beat.

KP and Ross would be availabel for a few time so it really depend's of Viru, Warner and Mahela to take the batting so i guess the 4 regular foreigner's would be Warner, Mahela, Johan Botha & Morkel so i don't see any loop holes in the team with 3(Indian)+1(Foreigner) pacer's so my XI would be

01. Viru
02. Warner
03. Mahela
04. Unmukt Chand
05. Naman Ojha
06. Y Nagar
07. Johan Botha
08. Irfan Pathan
09. Agarkar / Aaron
10. Umesh Yadav
11. Morkel

Hasn't MI gone overboard this time, with their purchases ? They already have a side wherein there isn't much scope for a new player to break into the playing XI. On paper, they have only 2 vacant spots seeing as Pollard and Malinga are regulars in the side.

I am sure that Ricky Ponting won't be getting more than a game. Remains to be how many does Glen Maxwell get seeing as they have Aiden Blizzard too.

Yeah i totally agree with you, i really don't see a point why they went for Philip Hughes when they had Aiden Blizzard and understandably i see Glen Maxwell making it to the XI with one slot left i see that may be filled with Dwayne Smith or James Franklin.

In my View the best buy's were

CSK Dirk though he went for + $50,000 than the previous season i see no doubt in his talent he will surely mark his mark with CSK

DD with their requirement Botha was the best buy yes he went for a low price but i felt KK would had picked him in

KXI Luke yes he was the best buy as far as the auction was concerned

MI I really don't know about their strategy i really didn't think they would go for another spinning All-rounder, Guess poor strategy by them apart form Ricky & Oram i don't see there good reason behind the pick's

PWI They made three among the 4 best Michael Clarke, Abhishek Nayar & Ajantha Mendis

RR I feel both James Faulkner & Fidel Edwards were good pick's

RCB Rudra Pratap Singh, Moises Henriques, Ravi Rampaul & Daniel Christian woo they made it count they just made the right choice and its the team to beat

SRH Darren Sammy, Thisara Perera & Sudeep Tyagi especially Sudeep Tyagi for the base price was the best pick

OK as the auction is over I except everyone who view this thread to express your views on whether the decisions of the franchises was right or wrong .:)

Rcb had a very good auction with the great buy of Rp Singh, Dan Christian and Ravi rampal. And we dint required unadkat and henriques

RCB has picked too many bowlers. They already have quite a few in their ranks. So, the decision to heavily favor the bowlers in the auction was a wee bit wrong.

Its your wish

I agree with Jaidev Unadkat but i don't agree with henriques, he is a best option and the one RCB desperately needs he can be the finisher for RCB as Albie if for CSK

Yup too many but only RP Singh may play in place of Zack and the rest may get 2 or 3 games each, and the reason for not going for the batter's was they do have a few who are more reliable and the batting unit is quit good and since there were more of Foreign batter's involved there was no room for them :thumbs
