Just read that Delhi has struck a swap deal with for Ashish Nehra. Good for both franchisees seeing as it bolsters them up where they need it. Delhi gets an Indian pacer whereas Pune gets a good batsman in Ross Taylor.

I feel PWI did make a mistake NZ have a series against ENG so his availability will be the key

Hmmm, nevertheless, they have a decent line-up on paper and can finally boast of having some stars in their team.

Yup agreeably they do have a very good team but what they lack is an explosive opener who could give them quick start's and with the likes of Clarke Yuvi they can carry over from there

The biggest flop for them has definitely been Robin Uthappa whom they picked up for a staggering amount.

What do you about the next season, wherein the BCCI plans to add another franchise ? Will the teams be retained or will they go in for an all-out auction like they did the first time round.

Seems like its going to be Kanpur Warriors now. Sahara and the Maharashtra Cricket Association in a legal tussle over the naming rights of the stadium. This certainly won't go down well with the Warriors fan base.

does anyone think that MI's decisions to take Glenn Maxwell for such a huge sum was right :noway ? not a very good decision to me as even vs Bord's Eleven practice match he was out for a duck .:yes

I think Maxwell's blazing 50 against Sri Lanka came at just the right time. He can obviously hit a ball and has some handy spin, so I think MI are gambling that it will pay off on the dustbowls of India. Much like Sehwag.

Any thing can happen i guess BCCI will go with 4 player retention policy as they did after the 3rd edition, it would be better if all the players come into the mix and since the domestic players too benign auctioned it will be time staking but a good result for other teams to get a balanced squad

Fresh auctions look unlikely. Srinivasan won't approve it as he does not wish to lose out on Dhoni at any cost. Similar is the case with MI (for Sachin), DD (for Sehwag) and RCB (for Virat).
