Proof as to why AFL beats every other sport in the world

Have you guys heard of that new game 'Handball'?

Basically, all you do carry the ball in your mouth and spit it out into the net hence the name 'Handball'. Don't get it? Not surprised. It originated somewhere in Australia.

I know its tough for Soccer fans to comprehend that a sport actually requires more physical attributes than just your feet. But keep trying, you'll get there one day.....

Oh dear, you appear to have shot yourself in the foot there:

Lets see. The primary objective of the game is to kick the ball through the goals, and to pass the ball, you kick it. Seems perfectly reasonable to call it football considering in Association football you THROW the ball in from the sideline, allowed to use your head and chest, and the keeper can use whatever he likes.

We can call it footy, sports like NFL and Rugby also use "football" when the objective of the game has nothing to do with kicking, so have a go at them!

But actually look up the definition of football, you may be surprised at how broadly it can be used.

AFL gets bigger attendance rates then the EPL. Fact.
And what does that prove exactly? Bigger stadiums? More people for each club? I bet an AFL second division wouldn't get crowds of 25-30k like the Championship does.

That's only because England is a smaller country with a bigger population.
I don't see how that matters, just because we have a bigger population doesn't mean we have to support a football team.

Don't believe that this threads still going its only purpose is so two sets of people can blindly argue with each other with no chance of agreeing.

That's not true. If Ben, Dean and Stevo are willing to admit they're wrong, I'll agree with that.

What's happening is the AFL fans are making random outlandish statements about football, to which us football fans respond and blow their theories apart. They then ignore our victory and continue to post random outlandish statements. Rrsulting in a neverending cycle.

aussie_ben91 springs to mind for some reason

That's because your arguements and points are so bullish and incorrect that it's laughable. You're not blowing our theories apart, far from it, if anything it's the other way round. You've got no evidence as to why Soccer is an entertaining sport, because there is none. People like it because it's been around longer then other sports and has been past down from generations whilst other sports haven't had the same opportunity.

Soccer is more popular, but it's probably also the most overrated sport in the world. It's quite boring to watch (and play) and had other sports from the modern age been devised before Soccer then the chances are that Soccer's popularity would decrease significantly. There is nothing amazing about Soccer that just makes people want to watch it. King Pietersen watched a game of AFL and he was in complete awe of it - I doubt you'd ever see someone feel the same way about Soccer.

Another reason why it is overrated is because it's not the number 1 sport in any of the bigger countries in the world, mainly the smaller ones. You can't say that countries like America, China, etc, honestly care about Soccer because if they did then they would DOMINATE Soccer, much like they dominate any other sport they're interested in.

Soccer's a pretty simple game, it's no wonder why the English like it so much. They've always been so slow when it comes to things that are complex.
