I've supported Vaughan to the hilt ever since he first came under pressure against Sri Lanka i've become so downhearted with the performances of this team that i'd quite happily welcome Robert Key into the side. I think Vaughan seems to have lost a lot of his old spark from our glory days of 04/05. And his confidence is absolutely shattered.

Anderson is terrible? Yes he lacks a bit of consistency but in my opnion he has been Englands best bowler overall!

I agree with you but he hasn't lost two home series in a row, we beat New Zealand 2-0.

I didn't think he lost to NZ but somebody else said he had lost 2 home series on the trot. I got a tad confused with that! :cool:

I would like to see England appoint new selectors who pick our best players. Can't be that hard can it?

Yes we do need new selectors and is probably one of our main problems. And Evo sums it up well next! Yes we need a team spirit and I'm not saying we now go and drop the whole team but we do need to make a few changes to get the team right.

Ambrose's keeping isn't the best? He's done absolutely nothing wrong with the gloves. The batting criticism I can handle, but he's been near enough faultless with the gloves.

Cricket team's have team spirit Ollie. It's the same with football teams. Man United had a great unity last year so imagine if on that Champions League final night in Moscow instead of going with one of the regular's of the season you bring in a complete unknown from the reserves. You wouldn't be best pleased would you?

I think we have to be a bit harsh and can Sidebottom for now at least. I agree with you on that. After the phenomonal 2007 and early 08 he just hasn't been the same against a quality batting line-up like SA.


Being England's best bowler of the series is hardly terrible.

I can understand where your coming from with not criticising with the gloves but I just don't think he is the best keeper in the country (regardless of batting).

Yes I do understand that every team needs a strong team spirit but when it becomes a clique like the england team is now becoming where nobody knew can come in without feeling comfortable then that's where it goes wrong as clearly changes no need to be made!

I think Sidebum has been playing incredibly well and always puts his whole heart in but if broad gets a rest for not doing as much then Siddy seriously deserves a rest!

Do England have any spinners that can spin the ball both ways? What about Rashid or Munday, ICC always rates them as good. Right now, i have more faith in ICC than the English cricket selectors.

Congartulations to SA, Smith lead from infront and showed, what leadership and captaincy should be like, it was by no means easy for SA, especially with Flintoff operating from one end, but when it was needed Boucher gave support and came good at are critical time in the match.
