South Africa in England

England really screwed up a winning chance... as usual.

Also, England probably dug their own grave - after the ball was changed, Monty was just plain rubbish.

I really don't know why Vaughan wanted to "fix what wasn't broken"...

Had Monty been bowling with that same ball, England could have won this, because I felt Boucher and Smith were struggling. Many balls were jumping up, and being taken by the close-in fielders.

Anyway, well done to South Africa on a series win in England since readmittion :happy

Actually, looking back through the last few pages where users seem to gloat and enjoy England using. Considering this is an English based cricket forum the reaction is hardly surprising. Generally, only morons will post such things.

This is not aimed at you either West Indian. :)
This forum is open to people of any nationality of any country they support.

Dunno what you're on about, unless you're talking about English as a language...

It is your history. Since the England fans said we were going to thrash the Windies you have jumped at the chance to hate England.

Smith was out twice. I guess that's a reason to be a little annoyed.

What??? So it is all about the 2009 series?? Thats what this is about?? Smith was out twice!! Amla was out?? It was a brave decision to have given him that lbw to Monty, so you miss some and you get some, in the end it may not be great balance BUT IT HAPPENS, thats the nature of the game.
You jump at me for my comment and then you drag a series yet to be played into this!!!!

Indeed it is.

The owner of the forum, what is his nationality?

Where does he live?

The owner of this forum is English, and lives in England.

But what does that have to do with this? If he wished to limit this forum to only Englishmen, he would have.

As it is, you can't tell us to "get out" and not be anti-English. You have absolutely no right to do that, because the owner wished for people of all nationalities and cultures to join this website :)

Your argument is baseless, and foolish.

Gas there are many more people other than English. This thread was incredibly boring with only English people discussing things in untill a few more saffa's come in and now the others have joined and its more intresting now!

Did not, for a second think it was, if I did then I maybe would respond with "it takes one to know one" :)

Game over.
A tame end to what promised to be a real nail-biter.The moment Vaughan got KP in to bowl, SA were clearly beginning to smell victory.

England have now lost their 2nd home series in as many years.
Quite surprising because I believe they have a team which can actually do a lot better. The batting has some class in it and would be quite a handful if they can all get back to reasonable form.

The bowling needs some tinkering.I would like to see Hoggard or Jones back in for their next big series in India this winter and more importantly must concentrate on series in hand than just to look forward to the Ashes.
It never works out that way.England did not just suddenly win the Ashes in 2005.They had a great period leading up to that beating SA in SA,West Indies in West Indies and NZ in England.

Full credit to Smith on a fantastic knock. One of the best test match innings in recent memory. He was lucky to survive a very tricky period against Monty though.England must be ruing not appealing strongly for Smith`s gloved catch.

And right after the Ashes, with that same line-up (minus Simon Jones), were thrashed by Pakistan...

What did it for England was that all their batsmen (including Vaughan) were in good form.

Now, Vaughan is playing as a specialist fielder, Strauss can't buy a 50 (he keeps getting starts!), and Cook can't get a big 100.

Only reliable batsmen in that line-up are Bell and Pietersen..

You know I just don't understand this. Why suddenly a victory by SA is marred by this attitude from individual(s) who believe that no one else has anything or should post anthing if it is not in favor on England??
Just what is it that I said to could have gotten you guys whinners up?? Is this you all ways for venting anger and fustration at defeat? If such is the case then take it to the players and ECB, don't come in here and try to brand me!!!

English fans sometimes have a lot in similar with Indian fans to be honest

As Geoffrey Boycott said, just last week - "Indian supporters and England supports have one thing in common - they always believe that their team just cannot fail. In India, they start burning effigys, and in England, they start plotting for the next Ashes."

Im sorry, i didn't realise your lack of intelligence.

I said this is an English based forum, in the fact that it is based in England, and has a large user base from England, hence that some people were getting annoyed by people gloating at England's misfortune. I don;t remember going into other threads, involving other teams and gloating at their demise.

I don't know what you are going on about, maybe think before you type eh!

If any of you guys feel that that most of the posts in this thread from non-English and non-SA supporters have been anti-english trolls, please point some of those posts out.
Iam sure, I have`nt been trolling here.
I would`nt be posting in this thread had I not had genuine interest in this series.

I and I can speak for many other Indian members posting here that they have all been following this series with great interest and it would reflect on the quality of the posts.

This forum has a bigger user base from India I think

How about you do your research first? :)

Now go moan about your team and how you're gonna win the next Ashes.

Well South Africa are on a roll arent they? Drew with India in India and now beaten England in England. Now its up for the final task - the Aussies is Aussieland.

England are actually rubbish in ODIs, so that series is pretty much done and dusted.

Why are you fuelling another argument here.:)
You`ve will now be facing some serious backlash from the Indian members here.:D:)
