South Africa in England

Sim, Anderson bowled well today, although his figures would not suggest it.

EDIT, Matt just said the same. Good minds think alike. :p

I've never seen Sidey as a ODi bowler to be honest. He is tight, but it just shows, bring in 3 guys who can hit 90mph and you're gunna go only one way. Up!

Sidey needs to be in the test side. He holds up ends, or takes wickets. When on form he does both! Anderson is more of a Test bowler i'd say, whereas Broad is a bit of a ODi bowler.

This is the type of thing we need, a set team with only 3 or 4 places changing when the types of cricket changed. T20 is irrelivant as it isn't Cricket, we can bring in a whole specialised team for that!

Harmison will be feeling lucky as punch i'm sure! 2 wickets in his first over, but lets not forget, both tail end wickets! Flintoff i'm feeling better and better about! And if he is on form, Harmison can be too far behind.

Just seen the worst thing i've seen all day. Bell as opener, when will people listen to me! We need Shah in at the top in my opinion. Bell is far too within himself.

I know he is, but i'd like to see him open with Prior.

I rate Bell as a batsmen, i really really do. But, he hasn't got the instinct as a ODi opener.

Steyn really is a shocking ODi bowler. Not sure he can control the new ball, but his main weapon is swing so coming on first change wouldn't work either. He bowls no balls and wides at regular intervals. South Africa desperately need Morne Morkel back.

Prior looks good at the top of the order, Bell still looks abit suspect, he looked far better in the ODi series against New Zealand, when he was using his feet to the quicks and hitting over the top. I'd bring in Trott or Key at the end of the series if Bell continues to fail.

South Africa need to learn that England pitches don't have a medium. We have spinning pitches, dead pitches, bouncy pitches and all other differnt types! This is a fair young SA team, so they need to learn this!
Are they that young?

I'd say that Duminy and Albie Morkel are inexperienced. Botha too. Steyn has been around the scene for 2 years or so. But he's never proven his ODI credentials.

I'm not quite sure what to say about this. We're going to win with 35 overs left. The bowlers were clinical, the catching also. Bell and Prior look very good for a unbroken chase too. Where's the South African fire gone?

Don't fans get a refund if an x amount of overs aren't completed? Does this exclude a romping by one side? Because they won't get 40 overs in today...

Only one candidate for Man of the match. I think Prior has had an excellent game again, too.

What an absolute and total destruction of a much vaunted SA side. I don't think I've ever seen England trash a top team this badly before!

What's there to laugh at? They hammered us in the Tests and that's what counts.

Not really, we could've won the first Test and we won the last one. I can't help but think it might've been different if KP had been in charge from the off?

SA completely owned by England! Well done guys, terrific result!

What a victory. Comprehensively destroyed South Africa. They batted awfully, bowled equally as poorly, especially Steyn. Terrible performance from them, but a great win for England. Broad was brilliant, as was Flintoff. Prior and Bell then did the work with the bat for us and made it look a pretty simple track to bat on. Good victory, can this Pietersen era get any better ? 5-0 victory on the cards perhaps? :p. Actually, if we did win 5-0, how would that affect the rankings, would we move up at all ?
