South Africa in England

Stunning win! Great win.

We are 6th in the world and we beat the team that were looking to go top!

Im pride of the lads! KP. What a legened!

***** and Owned. Dam, cannot believe we won so easily. What a bowling performance, and which planet cricket user said Stuart Broad is a poor bowler?

I hope you are not referring to me, since I said that Broad was a poor Test bowler but am adamant and was prior to the ODI series that he is arguably one of the best ODI bowlers in world cricket and unarguably one of the best ODI bowlers in helpful conditions.

Not really, we could've won the first Test and we won the last one. I can't help but think it might've been different if KP had been in charge from the off?
Maybe, but history is what the winners agree upon. They can't make that series result look any better, they can only try to do as much damage as they can in the future.

Steyn really is a shocking ODi bowler.

Indeed. Quite bizarre though, as he has a good record in SA domestic cricket, in which they do use a white ball, iirc. Interestingly enough, his pace has been down, for him, in these ODIs - when he was over here for Essex (or was it his second stint?), he timed at 97mph but has not even bowled more than a handful of deliveries over 90mph.

Essex was his first stint over here, his more recent stint came last season for Warwickshire, where he bowled beautfully iirc. It is definitely strange that he seems to struggle in ODi's. He's a world class test bowler, and has shown this in the past 18months or so, but in ODi's he just hasn't clicked. He's young though, and is pretty inexperienced in the ODi scene, having only played 14 games, but he definitely looked out of his depth out there today. Far too many wides and no balls.

Bare in mind he's coming to the end of a long season for him, and considering his slight build compared to how quick he can bowl, it's obviously going to take its toll.

No because it was a stunning performance by the lads! Really well deserved.

KP 3 wins from 3.

Is there something known as beginners luck coming into play here!
He`ll surely have some challenges and tricky times ahead.Only then can you judge his performance as a captain.

But till then, you can enjoy his success and gloat in it for sometime.
We all do that !

What a victory. Comprehensively destroyed South Africa. They batted awfully, bowled equally as poorly, especially Steyn. Terrible performance from them, but a great win for England. Broad was brilliant, as was Flintoff. Prior and Bell then did the work with the bat for us and made it look a pretty simple track to bat on. Good victory, can this Pietersen era get any better ? 5-0 victory on the cards perhaps? :p. Actually, if we did win 5-0, how would that affect the rankings, would we move up at all ?

According to the Sky guys, we'll go second...

Damn What have I missed? :crying

Broad's awesome bowling!
KP's outstanding journey as a captain!
One of the noteworthy performance of England in recent times!
Promising attempts of Prior!

Whatever I am starting to hate my profession now. :p

Anyway It was truly unbelievable from England.Well done England.
Please make it 5-0. ;)

There's gonna be some Bell bashers around here somewhere and be critical of him today but for me he played well. He really didnt need to attack as we only needed to chase down 84 so he just let Prior go on his merry way and he supported him.
