South Africa in England

Nice to see England have learned from their mistakes. Cook seems in ood but he's had a poor conversion rate of 50s to 100s. Strauss isn't looking fluent though and Colly played a poor shot.

Perhaps the law should be changed so that it doesn't happen then; since in this case justice was done accidently or not. The referal system should be modified so that the third umpire can butt in and overrule the onfield umpire if need be.

Vaughan was out. The appeals sounded genuine (I know it isn't a very reliable sign but the fielder definitely thought he nicked it) and Snicko showed it and it's rarely wrong, in all honesty.

Vaughan was out. But I don't know how the umpire gave it. There was no sound and there was no visible edge.

If Freddie becomes captain we will be the England pedalo driving team not England cricket team.

He doesn't want the job. Whatever they do, though, they must NOT give it to Pietersen. Under any circumstances, DO NOT make Pietersen captain.

Strauss wasn't a bad captain was he? Plus he batted well with it, an lost form when it was taken from him.

Gutted to have only got 1 wicket before the end of the day, but, lets put in a strong fight today!

Come on England

Why are you so for not giving it to Pietersen? It did it pretty well in that ODI against NZ. He still has to captain a few more if I remember,

Yes man, the conditions look good for bowling with the Humidity, and our seamers are all swing bowlers really, although Flintoff is more about reverse. Colly could help aswell, he can occasionally take wickets.

And I can't watch it :(

My brother seems to have hijacked the tv. :(

Good signs so far. Swing for Flintoff, unity between Panesar and Sidebottom, very good stops by Panesar and Collingwood.

Well how about Bell as captain?

England should forget about the Ashes and focus on the other teams. By being able to defeat the weaker teams they'll be able to repeat "those Ashes' glory".

I have just been shoted into the front room with that 'catch'

And to be honest, that looked like it did carry, I think he had his fingers underneath it, Opinions?

Freddie should have had his 200th test wicket there!

Nah it hit the ground, it's obvious. You can see it hit the ground even if it hits it and the fingers. It obviously hits the ground.

Collingwood is the worst sport playing the game. He had a close up view of that McKenzie non-catch and celebrated like it went in where he saw it obviously hit the ground. Disgraceful.
