Sehwag did well when he came at three. Ball not swinging as much, yet field restrictions could be likely. Plus a softer ball. Also a little less pressure unless an early wicket falls.

With both teams in such good form, its tough picking your winner. But since India are at home, and SA are without Gibbs, I'll take 3-2 to India.

That should take India to 4th in the table but if England beat Pakistan then they'll come back in front.

Gambhir at 3! This is my line up!

Tendulkar
Sehwag
Gambhir
Dravid
Dhoni
Kaif
Yuvraj
Pathan
Agarkar (:mad)
Harbajan
RP Singh

Super Sub: Venu Gopal rao/Raina/Yadav

Tendulkar
Gambhir
Sehwag
Kaif
Dravid
Yuvraj
Dhoni
Pathan
Agarkar
Bhajji
RP Singh/VRV Singh

Super Sub: Yadav.

looks very balanced cricketman93!

But i think india will have karthik playing in the eleven and use yadav as the supersub, atleast for the first game. India are also likely to drop gambhir just like they did in the last two games. The trio of agarkar, pathan and RP Singh have done well and India would not want to disturb that combination. With Karthik and Bhajji as the spinners, bowling will not be a concern.

SA is a good team but many of them are in-experienced against quality spinners. So maybe get Kumble back?

This is my Line up:

Sehwag
Tendulkar
Gambhir
Kaif
Dravid
Y singh
Dhoni
Pathan
Agarkar
H singh
Rp Singh

Super Sub- Kartic

definitely on indian wickets, india needs 5 specialist bowlers. the part timers cant be expected to come good... if kaif, yuvraj and gambhir play together in the team, then raina will have to be out of the 12 becoz we definitely need 5 specialist bowlers.

here is my team

Sehwag
Tendulkar
Kaif
Dravid
Yuvraj
Raina
Dhoni
Pathan
Agarkar
Harbhajan
RP Singh

Super Sub: Murali Kartik

I go for Raina over Gambhir simply because Raina is a much better fielder than even Yuvraj and is equal to even Kaif! Raina can bat as aggressively as Gambhir does. He has not got that much chances yet to prove himself with the bat. The chance he got in Pune, he proved superbly! So I prefer him over Gambhir. If Kaif or Yuvraj dont play well, Gambhir can always come in for them (though its still not sure if they will be dropped)!

That looks like a very good lineup. If needed you could always move Pathan up to 3 and bump everyone else down the order.
Look at the middle order 5-8 are big hitters. So that is quite handy for getting to a target fast.

But with that team, the captain has a serious problem - whom to sub for Murali Kartik? Dravid cant be subbed becoz of captaincy, Yuvraj, Kaif and Raina cant be subbed due to their fielding and cant sub Dhoni also. So Sehwag and Tendulkar are the only people who can be subbed if India needs a fifth specialist bowler. We have to choose between Sehwag and Tendulkar. I would say Sehwag be subbed as both are similar fielders on the field but Tendulkar wins because of his unflinching support that he gives often to the bowlers on the field! He is needed along with Dravid for taking crucial decisions! But Sehwag is a future captain, at least in the books of Chappell, and needs to be on the field along with Dravid to learn the nuances of captaincy by getting involved in the decisions being taken...

So that would be one big headache!

Thing is both Sehwag and Tendulkar can bowl. I would sub of Kaif or Raina as they are good in the field but they can't do anything with the ball.

I never put Zaheer in my line up! It was Agarkar who was the top wicket taker in the recently concluded series against Sri Lanka! He now definitely deserves chances!

:laugh Good rigging. Anyway Agarkar has shown what he can do. Khan has had more than enough opportunities to establish himself.

Indians need to watch out for Kemp and Morkel. These guys can single-handedly do a "Dhoni" type innings and also bat well against pace bowlers unlike Indian counterparts.

We have the bowlers to stem those big hitters. RP Singh should play in most of the matches. He is a wicket taking yet economical bowler. I am concerned about Agarkar. I am sure the Africans can play him better than the Sri Lankans. I doubt if he would have the same success like against the Lankans. Ideally, Agarkar should play a game and if he does well, can be persisted with! We cant take any chances. We have to win the series handsomely 4-1 at least!
