Once agin SL fail againts the smaller team. Well let's hope the series could be 3-0. Lol could it be or no. Apart from SL perormance I've seen is not good.

Its not a good sign. India are on the up. Their batting has always been good. Their bowling is starting to improve now.

Of course any team with Murali can't be written off. Especially on these spinning wickets. But on saying that India are the best players of spin around. Not good signs at all for SL.

Murali definitely is going to pick some wickets. But I think he will meet the same fate that Warne had when he came to India! Laxman, Dravid, Tendulkar, Sehwag are all excellent players of spin bowling and they are aided with hungry young guys like Gambhir and Dhoni. They relish big challenges. Murali has a very tough time ahead and even if he escapes big time hitting from these guys, he would have done a good job (not over confidence, but this is a fact)!

I think if in any given match, if Sehwag can survive the fast bowling spell, it will be a wonderful sight to see him vs. Murali.

Sehwag + off-spinner = crowd action

The question is,

Does Murali = off-spinner?

I dont have any hope in this test match at all, bharat! We know that Chennai groundsmen are a little slow in putting the water off. We saw that in the India-South Africa ODI! So even if the rains stop for a bit, draining out the water is going to take up time. And the rains arent going to allow the time for the people to drain out the water. I wont be surprised if not even a single ball is bowled in this test match!

I agree Warne has struggled in India, and from the recent tour he picked up wickets but not in big hauls apart from Chennai. It was the pacemen of Australia that won them the series.

Going by that Sri Lanka have to follow suit, I just can't see the Indian batsmen all getting out to Murali. One or two may but not 5+. SL need to find reverse swing and and exploit any early movement there may be if they are bowling first.

BBC Weather report says that the first day of the test match (Friday) looks to be clear of no rain! It says Friday would be having sunny intervals without any rain. Saturday and Sunday is said to have from 'heavy showers' to 'thunder showers'!! So if this turns out to be true, then we might have a day at least of play!

I wouldn't trust in weather forecast. I was looking for the weather for the end of season tour for rugby and they were all over the place. Some was saying it would snow in London others saying it was sunny.
Best way to check is if there is some live webcam of Chennai. Or if someone that lives in Chennai can provide live weather updates.

Theres no hope at all...this is from weather.com whichi is probably the best forcaster in the world. :( :crying . Lets hope that the grounds people have learned from their mistakes and clear the water out quickly!

Why are BBC and weather.com so different? Anyways, I dont believe both! Lets check out how the weather is on the day....

See what I mean saisrini :) I await your forecast from your relative as should everyone else as these forecasters just say something random and get paid. Heck even I could do their job :D
