This is a really good display of bowling from Sri Lanka, they missed Mathews bowling for sure when he was injured, he's getting the ball to nip back in sharply and Lakmal is posing questions for batsmen. Excellent display, great for viewing.

It will be exciting to see how it will be under lights with the ball seaming around, if India get to a substantial score.

Boy, Dhawan is a proper flat track bully! He is a proper one trick pony and I definitely don't think he's as good as the destructive openers of the world in terms of SR. Why we aren't playing Pant is beyond me!

Just one half century in this year's Ranji season.
These are his scores 30,26,41,99,16 (most of the time Delhi batted only once and Pant didn't feature in the first 2 matches this season). Also Pant has been playing in the middle order since last year be it in the domestic circuits or the India A setup and playing for the latter vs South Africa A and New Zealand A the likes of Manish Pandey and Shreyas Iyer piled on runs consistenly when compared to Pant who has only two half centuries whic had made the case worst for him.
With the current team Indian management there is not even a slim of a chance that Pant would open the innings for India in the foreseeable future.

I really hope Iyer and Pandey play to their full potential. They have a very good opportunity right now and I will tell once again Dinesh Kartick's time is up, we dont need Dinesh Kartick in the ODI side.

That's a good thing actually. Take a single and give strike to tail ender and he will get out. We don't need that. Dhoni is doing the right thing here even if we are not getting runs right now. Anyway it won't matter as this match is already down the drain.
