Another blunder by Inzamam Ul Haq... Does Imam deserves a slot by excluding Azhar Ali? Though he isnt a specialist ODI Opener, What was the point to exclude him to adjust Imam there.... So Fakhar Zaman and Ahmed Shehzad will open the innings and if Fakhar or Shehzad doesn't perform in 2 innings, Inzy will call Sarfraz to please induct Imam? I am not questioning Imam's talent? But the strategy to induct him is pretty wrong. It can be clearly seen nepotism instead of merit and for your country. And the excuse here is to Rest Azhar Ali.. Just Wow Inzy....

Another Test thrown to the wind due to this smartass three pacer strategy. Sarfraz is trying way too hard to be his own man when all he needs is keep going with Misbah's bowling tactics. This type of tactics is perfect in seam friendly conditions.

Someone needs to take two quick wickets, so Pakistan can be top of the Lankans. Otherwise, Sri lanka is going to score yet another 400+ in this series...
And I don't know why Sarfraz prefers Shafiq over Haris as 5th bowler...? Pacers need to pick the remaining wickets ASAP. We don't want Yasir Shah to bowl another 40 overs on Day 1.

I know it's a pink ball test with it swinging around, but doesn't it make more sense to play two spinners? I feel there's too much pressure on Yasir Shah to deliver and he should have another spin bowler to support him as well.

Haris Sohail and Shafiq are barely competent. Any spin bowling allrounders in the team? Misbah always played two spinners on these pitches.

I have a strong feeling that Pakistan went in to this game with a lack of player analysis expecting to defeat a deflated Sri Lankan side.

There seems to be a clear lack of strategy targeting the batsmen. Herath hasn’t been studied well enough. Come on coaching staff, this is elementary stuff in this decade of cricket.

I'm very annoyed of their childish mistakes. If you are going with 3 pacers and a spinner then you should know your pacers will deliver. That's why you are preferring pacers on a spinning track.

And now pacers are disappointing them. new ball is due and you have more faith in spinners than pacers lol. Then why you went with 1 spinner...? Could've dropped a batsmen and included a spinner.

I don't understand what they are doing. Perhaps still celebrating over CT17 win... ?

Don't quite understand what's happening. This is literally the same team India has thrashed just a month or so ago, along with England and South Africa kicking this same team again.

Pakistan bowlers have surprisingly ineffective in these conditions. Second spinner definitely needed to limit the workload on Yasir.

Only way to save/draw or to create slight chance of win for Pakistan is to bat at least 4 more sessions apart from this one.

Not the greatest news for this test or the ODI series.

Although, it allows Rumman Raees to step up like he did against England. I really want to see if he can come into the side as a genuine seaming option for Pakistan.
