End Game Star Wars Mafia - End Mafia(Surendar) & Third Party (Fake Passport) Won

Mafia are playing pretty well atm, haven't got my eyes on anyone yet. Varun backing CC was kinda weird at the start, then again El Loco is pretty much under the hood for a while.
Under the hood...meaning?

as I didn't know Villain was Mafia at the time.

The giveaway with Villain was how his play changed. He wanted to no lynch quickly Day 1 and was pretty keen for a lynch day 2. That then completely changed when Asprin called him on it to 'lets have lots of discussion' and frustration at the low posters that didn't read as genuine. His antics re my role cemented it for me.

Tis why early on I agreed with him on voting inactives and on my read list put him as town. I thought him scum but my biggest threat was the NK more than town and I was angling to see who we would chose of the low posters.

My suspicion is that another scum is in the low posters, I figured whoever villain tried to lynch would be town, thus reducing the possibility. I didn't manage to get that out of him, but his ghost post about easy win for mafia also makes me think there's a low poster scum who has avoided suspicion...

I can't really see a third party in this setup tbh. Forgive me if I'm wrong bc I'm not that big on Star Wars (only watched The Force Awakens) but the Star Wars theme doesn't really have a third party involved does it? It's just two sides fighting each other? In a mafia context with a game this large, I could def see a third party but I'm not sure that it falls within the theme.

Characters such as Jabba the Hut & bounty hunters fit into what would be considered third party roles in Star Wars. Fake Passport mentioned Jabba the Hutt being in his personal message description. He also called himself a town aligned third party.

None of the Day descriptions appear to have to mention third party roles, which means if they exist they do not have power roles, they must have win conditions instead.

Are you refering to the "while I pity some"?

I was looking at that post trying to work out if it could help us discover what the balance of the game is. All I decided was that there is likely more than two mafia members.

We have three confirmed town members and one mafia member.

So I think there is at least 3 mafia members, 1 third party role, which leaves us with 8 town members. Is that realistic?

If we remove the confirmed players we are left with 2 mafia, 1 third party and 5 town, which makes sense to me.

@swacker I remember you wanted to talk about the balance of the game. What are your thoughts?

I'll believe the third party thing for now. 8-3-1 seems like a balanced setup to me if it's actually the case. The third party is most likely a non-NK role and is probably something like a survivor, if I go with what CC just said. I'm not entirely sure - do we go for a lynch or no? If we are at 5-2-1 with a potential doc alive, is no lynch something to consider? It's just a tough spot that we're in right now, we don't have solid leads and a mislynch is the last thing we want.

It is possible that Fake Passport's new role is survivor.

This is hard to answer, however I feel that a non-lynch places extra pressure on the town later in the game. The problem we have is non-active people in the game. You are currently active Simon, so I have no issue with you. My concern is both zwarrior & swacker were unable to be online to remove Villain, so will they be available next time when we have solid evidence against someone. Hopefully they will.

Nope, I was made pure VT. Although the point of a survivor is a good one. It might explain some of the low posters.

@Jack Ryder - Either way is fine, but if/when it happens, will you tell us if we are at Mylo/Lylo?

I ask because survivor games tend to get to that a day earlier....

I think we need discussion before considering a no lynch too much. Otherwise we are in the same situation tomorrow. We don't know the limitations of the town PR role...

I'm all for it, I just got the kids to bed and could spend some time actually backtracking and reading everything. To date (today) all Ive done is react to new posts...

Massive FOS: swacker and Simon

Because they are still trying to figure out the make up of the game. Kinda wasting our time, while leaving the impression that they are active.[DOUBLEPOST=1501068622][/DOUBLEPOST]
To be continued... as I still need to investigate.

Aren't you a vanilla?

This post didn't directly trigger it, but I have had the thought that Varun could have pretended to be nit picky in order to suddenly find something to clear Surendar, but in actual fact he could just be Mafia who knew Surendar was town all along (since he did claim VT) and just bought himself some brownie points to back him as town, knowing that he was going to target him soon anyway. Knowing as little as I do in this game, this is not that far-fetched of a theory I don't think. Not sticking anything on Varun, but I don't think anyone deserves a free pass as of yet.

Fair enough. I don't think any alive player is fully cleared as of now.[DOUBLEPOST=1501068752][/DOUBLEPOST]
If anybody wants an extension, tell me.
Yes.
