I prefer the league. Like the County Championship, you can go up and down, or be a middle table team. This way, you are playing matches throughout the season, and fighting for points. Makes things interesting.

Yeah I prefer the league too, but it shouln't be this long. Maybe more divisions but maybe 8-10 teams in each division.

the whole idea is that you get a friendly each week.
Therefore a the league in it's current form is the best option imo.
