The PlanetCricket Battrick Sledging Thread

lost a bit of enthusiasm for battrick, keep forgetting to set orders etc.

so I'm selling up. going to keep training players and drop down a couple of divisions in each format over the next couple of seasons and then re-asses.

got a fair few top quality players up for sale now though

The last of the PC legends depart :(

i'm keeping my team. i've put in too much time to leave. to borrow a poker term i'm pot committed.

Just laying low for a few seasons. sort of camping, but not really.

like i've been doing on hattrick for a while

That's good to hear and with the current trend in TM you should be able to put a pick a better team in a couple of seasons.

LOL, the TM is weird, I just picked this guy up for 4 million :)

A cautious LH batsman and a cautious LFM bowler. He has woeful leadership skills and exquisite experience. He has no preference and no trait.
He currently has strong batting form, strong bowling form and changeable fitness.

Wow, haven't been here in a long long time.

Last post was July last year.

Haven't been on battrick much, but I'm tanking in my other two leagues and focusing on OD. Coming first and it's really coming along nicely. This was my last reporters summary.

Aussie Bombers
Top Order: exquisite
Middle Order: wonderful
Lower Order: woeful
Seam Bowling: quality
Spin Bowling: strong
Fielding: mediocre

Fix my bowling and I'll be ready to promote. Here's my batting.

Hitish - Remarkable
Norton - Masterful
Benjamin - Sensational
Mccormick - Remarkable
Dingane - Sensational
Marrison - Wonderful (19)
Cuss (Keeper) - Superb

Well the dusty pitch proved the difference. In the last match against the team we played, they completely dominated us on a hard and a fast pitch as they scored 252/2 and I made 186 in return. This time on a dusty pitch, I bowled them out for 140 and I made 141/3 winning with 15.3 overs remaining. They didn't play any spinners while Gilroy, my only spinner took 5/27. I should really buy myself another spinner cause of my dusty pitch. It was so much better when Deane was playing.

Wow, look at the difference in summary and I won comfortably. And my spinner was the only bowler not to pick up a wicket.

Hedgers XI Odins Revenge
Top Order: superb remarkable
Middle Order: superb proficient
Lower Order: woeful abysmal
Seam Bowling: remarkable exceptional
Spin Bowling: masterful masterful
Fielding: competent mediocre

It did help that Bittner scored 123* opening the batting as we managed 254/3. We then got a wicket with the second ball before we completely ripped through their middle-lower order to bowl them out for 176, Smart with 45 and Bhana with 67*.

Batting Scorecard:

Bittner 123* (145)
Clist 58 (78)
Nock 11 (15)
Gatting 26 (36)
Euell 30* (28)

Bowling:

Fieldhouse 3/34 (7)
Iftikhar 1/50 (7.4)
Gilroy 0/38 (10)
Rowe 4/15 (10)
Clayden 2/32 (10)

Looking to steal one of Aussie's players. 30 years old but I think he's got another 3-4 seasons in him. If I can get him for less than 2M, then I'll be pretty happy. He'll be my best bat and also could keep but I don't know whether to stick with Nock or give him the gloves if I sign him.
