Story The TT Lion's Journey - Rejuvanated

Aw, you were only 41 runs out! If you had won, that would be so funny. w3lshrugby would be very sad...
Yup.
My real batters (Dunn, Greenwood and Dennis) faced only 99 out of the 300 deliveries, and scored 140 off the 314 runs, at a run rate of 8.48. Imagine if they had faced about 20 more deliveries. But the reason they didn't is because his bowlers were just too crap!!

Sessions:

Ryan Crouch = 1*Fielding, 2*Fitness
Bill Tuckett = 2*Fielding
Lennox Rudi = 1*Fielding, 2*Fitness
Billy Mpumelele = 1*Batting, 1*Wicketkeeping

Consistency for Crouch, Concentration for Fallon and Rudi, consistency for Tuckett. Not a bad week.

Apologizes for lack of updates. Been really busy.
Just a brief update, I won against oledaog with Bunn hitting his maiden century and Dennis blazing away as usual. My new YP was OK (Posted in YP thread) and is up for sale along with Pat Cash. I then lost a shocker to the Jazz Messengers, in a match which started while I was in school (I was unaware of this, and hence my lineup was not fixed and I didn't even get a chance to scout the pitch) So two unlucky losses for me in the PC cup :(

Anyways, updates back to normal tommorow.

League Match 8 Vs. Armadillos
Armadillos CG- 10/03/06 15:30

This is going to be a tough match. After losing to them early in the season -Thanks to a drunk capitain and a bowling debut for Greenwood- we are ready to come back strong. They are currently one position above the TT Lions, at #3. I've squandered my home advantage early, so this is gonna be a tricky away match. A full strength side, here is hoping for the best.

Lineup (probable): Cox, Delop, Dunn, Crouch, Bunn, Rudi, Dennis (*), Fallon (+), Atkinson, Drayton, Tuckett.
Pitch: Green
Match orders: Go for it
Bowling orders: Sets of five
Toss: Field First

Tune in tommorrow for what promises to be a real tight match!

Lions hunt down Armadillos
Rudi and Delop star as Lions square it 1-1

A great game overall. Cox and Delop hammered wonderful fifties and some good bowling from Drayton, Crouch and Rudi secured us a 9 run victory.
We got off to a flier as Cox went on the aggressive, being sever on both new ball bowlers. They brought up the 100 run partnership before Cox missed timed a wild swing to find a slower ball clatter into his stumps. Dunn then had an impressive outing, and with Delop put up a fine 75 run partnership. Delop's wonderful inning came to an end as he edged Aussie Littlefair behind to Mulligan. Dunn upped the tempo, smashing a huge six over midwicket, before he found the faintest of nicks trying to run the ball away to third man. Then a mini tragedy, as Bunn holed out on his first ball handing Knight 2 in 2. Night went on to pick up one more, but Crouch, Rudi and Dennis had done enough to ensure a total of 253.
At first, It looked like it wasn't enough, Giles and Allanson putting on a brisk 91 for the first wicket, being especially severe on Atkinson. Tuckett struck the vital blow trapping Giles in his crease with a quicker ball. Keegan added 25 more slow runs before Drayton found the edge. Drayt struck again shortly afterwards removing Baldwin, and leaving the match well poised at 164/3. The the man himself struck, Ryan Crouch removing Allanson with a great slower ball. Thats when Rudi entered the show, in what would be a thrilling last 10 overs. Mulligan lasted only two balls before Rudi got some lethal revese swing and got the edge, leaving the match precautiously balanced at 215/5 with not much batting left for the Armadillos. Their last hope Gonsalvez fell to the revese swing of Rudi, as the momentum had suddenly switched to the TT Lions. Crouch got a yorker spot on to dismiss Brook, and Reid was trapped in plum to a fantastic Rudi reverse-swinging yorker. Littlefair then commited a fatal mistake by going for the big one and just finding Drayton in the deep. At 244/9, they were now just 9 away from victory, with the last two in and a little over 3 oves to go. But it wasn't to be, as Rudi capped a magical over by getting Lumsdon mistime an attempted flick to the legside just to find Dunn at short midwicket, and the TT Lions burst into esctatic cheering over their fabulous win.

Ratings:
A well competited match, with the ratings showing I held a slight edge.

Soft Transferrred!
Windies Paceman decides to leave TT Lions for better offer.

The TT Lions 26 year old paceman Tom Soft has been transfered to Elks CC for $1000. When questioned why, he said: "I need a club which is closer to home, and is more flexible when it comes to attendance for net sessions and meetings. I have a family and can't be present all the time." When the TT Lions manager Zorax Doom was questioned, all he had to say was: "Tom was a good team man, he worked hard and we are sorry to see him go. We are sure the Elks CC will benefit from his experience and we are sorry to see him go.

Todays, YP was so crap, I fired him before seeing his name! :p :D
Only had feeble consistency, worthless everything else. 20 YO with no ITS, BTR of 381.
