Top End Series

India A won by 10 wickets. Thats all the details I have currently.

Damn! Australia A in trouble, Jaques and Haddin both out! :(

Didn't get much better either. They only got 236 with Hodge top scoring. Definitely didn't pick that one, and Hopes contributed a handy 60.

Bowling Tait has been wayward, Watson smashed for 8 in 1 over and the other bowlers alright.

Lol, thats good to hear. GO NZ!!! We look like we are going to take this one out! 100/0 from 16 overs. Only chasing 236.

Hodge and Hopes are the only performers so far for the Australians.

Scorecard to anyone wondering. Papps and How are doing very nicely.

Cullen putting the brakes on.

I don't know what it is with extras these days, but Australia A have conceeded 18 in 20 overs. NZA Black conceeded 15 in the entire 50.

2/220. Watson has both wickets. How's innings is awesome.

One of the problems is the selection. I never liked the squad that was picked. We should have played Rogers instead of the 4th bowler. We had Watson and Hopes, who were all-rounders playing, so we had enough bowling, but our batting was suspect. 4 batsmen, a wicketkeeper and 2 all-rounders. Also alot our guys didnt actually do well in ODD this season. Only 4 guys averaged 30+ this season, and one of those guys was Chris Rogers, who was dropped. We will kill it in the 4-dayers, but most of our batsmen have potential, but arent performing in the one dayer form. They dont know how to play one dayers.

So to sum up, ****.

Handy considering our position, but regardless, he had a strike rate of 52 in his innings, which is not good enough. If he is going to be an international cricket (which he wont, but hypothetically) he has to learn how to create a score when in trouble, but still tick the scoreboard over.

We were in trouble can't blame him for trying to hang around. Did better than our future batters. Bowling was a real shambles. We are in big trouble if we don't get McGrath back. Tait was disappointing thought he would have had more of an impact.

One of the big problems with our bowling is that our bowlers are overrated and overhyped.

Johnson-no good
Dorey-not good enough
Hopes-only a handy domestic all-rounder, nothing more
Cullen-not good enough yet, but is young, and has time to develop
