Warm-up matches

Lets be honest, that is ridiculously drastic action to think about amputating a finger. He does not realise that it is only a game and such an act is too drastic.

Maybe he can find a way to tape it up heavily to "get it out of the way" as it were when he is fielding and batting.

Well there was a rugby player that did just that so that he was a chance to make the Rugby World Cup this year.

We have now found the Kiwis weakness, let them bat first ;)

Good all round performance by our guys it just good seeing our bowlers with economies below 5 and in Bracken case below 2. Clark looked like he did well these conditions may well suit him.

NZ are really good aren't they? :D

In conditions that suit them.

Ur saying they're good just because they beat Australia?

Just now saw the scorecard... Nice that India won the game.. Yuvraj picking 4 wickets :laugh It seems all the bowlers have done well except Munaf I feel. Anyways, its a great win :clap

And excellent Bangla to create an upset over Kiwis. Mortaza was excellent with both ball and bat..

Bangladesh :happy
finally a minnow won at least one match :), i was sad Ireland and Scotland didn't win there games but they got close!

Argh pathetic performance really by NZ.

By the sounds of it though, we did have the worse conditions. Mortaza is a world class player as far as I am concerned. Lost early wickets. We didn't even bat 50 overs. I rekon we lost it with the bat. We should have put them out of the game.

At least it doesn't count.

Good signs with Oram though, and the media totally overdid the finger thing. I saw the actual interview he said it in, and it was a joke. Media do anything to sell.

30 off 14 balls off mainly Franklin. Otherwise we would have defended it easily. It was obviously an experiment to bowl Franklin at the death and it didn't work.

We already knew that Franklin cant bowl at the death, so him getting a tonking was to be expected. And I would of liked to see Mason bowl 10 overs, just to prove that he is better than Tuffey.

Speaking of Tuffey, is he injured? You would have thought he'd get a bowl.

I like Franklin being in the side, but he needs to be bowl out early. He can be very tidy in the middle, but he is easy pickings if the batsmen decide to attack.

Yea must have been injured as makes no sense not to play him. I'd definitely pick Mason over him if it comes to picking him or Tuffey.

Bangladesh isn't a minnow, they are a test nation.

Yeah tell me about it. They recently beat Australia in a three match series for the Chappell-Hadlee(sp?) trophy. In one of the matches they inflicted Australia's first ever ten wicket defeat, to my knowledge; they then revealed how incapable Australia were at defending large totals.

:D

Yes but the main international sides were all playing minnows and they were the minnows in that match. Even though they are a test playing nation they dont play very many tests.
