Warm-up matches

Joe, when have warm up matches ever meant anything to England. You'll have realised that the Australians are playing to win whereas we are using it as a warm up which is what it's meant to be. What's the point going full throttle and wearing our players out?

Andrew, stop plugging. :p

India are simply on fire! Smith gone too! Terrific bowling by everyone! Windies are well & truly destroyed!

85 all out for the Windies. Indian bowling really ripped 'em.

mmmm, it seems that these arn't exaclty the most ideal batting conditions in the world.

Yes, it was terrific.. The best dominating match so far in Warmup games. Actually suprised to see Pathan picking 3 wickets.

Also, India should not be overconfident too at the same time.. I guess they know the role they needed to do in this WCup, hope they show the same dominance in upcoming matches too.

We've got a much more up to date scorecard on CricketEurope.

Spot on Suren, the Windies really are the sort of side who always seem to struggle to raise their game unless it's the real deal, I guess it's why they keep doing pretty well in tournaments in the last few years.

Oh and it's good to see that Nixon is really adding some depth to our batting :p

Sami seems to be doing good in this match he might secure a spot in the opening game.

My predictions:

India vs West Indies
Aus Vs Eng
SAF Vs PAK
NZL Vs SRL

WI obviously have the advantage of being at home. Aussies are just a better side. SA vs Pak is probably who i'd consider the 2 teams with the least chance. But I went with SA because Pakistan have soo many players out that SA should be to good, spinner or not. Sri Lanka suit the conditions. We've played against them a lot but I expect bowlers like Franklin to be tonked again. Maybe Jaysuriya will go after Bond since theres nothing to lose. Bangladesh seemed to be trying to put him off stride.

Dunno why I even bothered predicting warm up games, I guess i'm really bored.

Erm, I think you have got the West Indies Vs India one wrong. ;)

However, Australia look in firm control and although I can see a flurry of wickets falling once this opening partnership is broken, I believe that Australia will sail through the modest England target on this interesting pitch.

I wouldn't read too much into bowling performances in the South Africa v Pakistan game, the teams were trying to boycott the game because the pitch was so dodgy.

I know England like to do things the hard way but i heard that Flintoff bloke isn't a bad bowler. Maybe they should chuck him the ball
