Warm-up matches

Lost a few too many wickets for my liking but oh well Hussey and Ponting can get rid of their bad runs in these friendlys.

For what? , he played well today
I didn't watch the game so I cannot decide. But from what I read (on the bulletin in Cricinfo and the people's comments here) he was bowling pretty slow and pretty inaccurately and all his wickets were boons. Cricinfo says Lara expected the ball to come faster than it did and thus got caught up in his shot. Of course--that could be utilized, but probably not for long.

Hopefully he is feeling himself into the game and will be up to 80mph by the Group matches.

Lets hope that's true ;)
Really pwning by India here :) Good signs...good signs..
Going to be a cracker of a cup :D

I am watching the highlights and Pathan is bowling well, but so so slow, 62-70mph.

If Pathan bowls fast and give runs then u guys have complaint and if he bowls slow and is taking wickets then again you are complaining against him. What do u want from him?

Just to bowl more than 70mph, his wickets were lucky today as in every good ball was a wicket (or so has been said numerous times).

Bowling 65mph, he could go for major runs.

First of all, if you're bowling at that pace, you'll never get wickets.. Just turn into a spinner.. Secondly, he is not even keeping it tight..

WOOOOOOOO...Pakistan won...thats a great victory...Yousuf and Younis the two Ys gettin in on the runs and Hafeez just fell short of his 50...bowling was superb as well...COME ON PAKISTAN!!!

Who told u that? Then Glen Mcgrath should bowl spin.Wasim Akram wasn't that quick either. He hasnt played too many matches during last few months,so dont expect him to do wonders now.We should give him some matches.

Did you watch the game, Pathan was 60-70mph, Glenn Mcgrath was never that, he always was 75mph+ and Wasim Akram was also always 80mph.

Go check out their bowling speeds again. Mcgrath is around 75km and Wasim was around 80-85..

Very impressed with how Monty is bowling here. Nothing remarkable but he's tieing Ponting dow.

According to Fletcher he's our second spinner, I'm thinking of a word to describe Fletch...

They'd be fools to not play Monty on these pitches because they're not going to be easy to score off of the slower bowlers. Plunkers, Anderson and Fred should be our pacers.
