Now the match is really in the bag for India.

Wow. Just as you say this, England have turned the course of the match!

Sehwag OUT for 72! India require 18 runs to win with 3 wickets in hand!
India 148/7
Virender Sehwag 72

England have fired a bullet here and have provided a decisive turning point in this match by a brilliant piece of fielding which has prised out Sehwag for 72. A very fine innings of Sehwag has come to an not so convincing end. Sehwag came down the wicket and hit the ball to mid wicket. The ball travelled at such a speed that it looked like a four. And Sehwag anyway started the run. But to his horror, Vaughan at mid wicket stopped the ball and threw the ball in a flash to wicketkeeper Geriant Jones and Sehwag tried to get back to the crease in vain.

The England captain has provided his team with a lifeline of getting a victory here! Will England turn the tide here at Wellington and get a win? Kumble and Agarkar batting at the moment!

Oh damn it!

Now if I say,England will win it,hopefully that'll make India win it ;)

India win by 2 wickets!

INDIA WIN BY 2 WICKETS!!

India have won the 4th ODI here against England at Wellignton by 2 wickets. Though the margin seems close, the Indians here have outplayed England almost and it took some effort by England to bring down the victory margin to two wickets and also being helped by the nasty pitch offered for this match!

The last wicket was that of Agarkar who impatiently lofted the ball to the boundary where he was caught easily. But Zaheer Khan came in a stuck s huge six into the stands to level the scores and then won the match for India edging the ball to third man for a single!

Good to see India do well in this tournament, especially after than 3-2 defeat to Sri Lanka at home.

But England really messed things up here. All those players getting out in almost identical fashion.

Ya!, grt win for India indeed!, will look forward to post match presentations,

India Enters final!

INDIA ENTER FINAL OF ADIDAS TRI SERIES!

India have entered the final of this Adidas Tri Series with a sound 2 wicket victory over England at th Wellington Cricket ground. On a green pitch, India put England into bat after winning the toss. England started off very well scoring 78 runs off the first 15 overs but then lsot way heavily as Sachin Tendulkar and Kumble ran through their batting line up to pick 7 wickets between them as England crashed for 165 runs. Tendulkar finished with figures of 4/7.

India started off their chase well but soon found Tendulkar getting out. Tendulkar was run out when he had a mix up with Sehwag. Yuvraj was also a victim of another mix up as this time, Sehwag made an error in judging the run. And then Kaif was out to an unplayable delivery from Gough and India were in trouble at 39/3. Sehwag and Dravid then built a ood partnership for India and pushed the scoreboard ticking. Dravid was out for 31 when he was stumped by Jones off Giles. But Sehwag at the other end kept motoring along India to the win but was out for 72. The Indian tail enders then finished the match with a win for India which is their third consecutive win!

Presentation Ceremony:

M.Crowe: Welcome to the presentation ceremony of this match between India and England. In the end, we saw a comfortable victory to India though England fought well. First, I would like to call upon the losing captain, Vaughan to the stage plz. So Vaugha, you must surely be disappointed with this defeat!

M.Vaughan: Yes for sure. We didnt play well after we had that good start to our innings. We gave away too many easy wickets. All credit to the Indians for outplaying us today. Sachin bowled one of those brilliant spells and Sehwag batted us out of the game. We now hope we beat New Zealand and enter the final against India!

M.Crowe: Thanks Vaughnie. Now, for the Man of the match. Again, an easy choice. It goes to the man who led India to a win with a fine 72. VIRENDER SEHWAG!

(Sehwag picks up his award from the dias!)

M.Crowe: Congrats on a fabulous innings, Sehwag.
V.Sehwag: Thanks Crowe. It was very nice to come back to form and lead India to a win here on Wellington.

M.Crowe: How did you approach your innings today? There was a different Sehwag on show today.
V.Sehwag: Yes. I was trying to get back in touch and so, I curbed my natural shots and focussed on occupying the crease. And luckily it worked.

M.Crowe: Thanks Sehwag. So gentlemen, thats all we have here from Wellington. Join you all for the next match between England and New Zealand. Till then, its bye bye from Channel 9 team!

How come the Indian team captain wasn't given a chance to speak in the Presentation Ceremony?

He was down with a stomach upset!! He has now taken medicines and is now alrite! (I completely forgot the Indian captain!)

Dravid with Martin Crowe for an interview!

Martin Crowe is down now with the Indian captain Dravid after the match for an interview

M.Crowe: Congrats on the victory Dravid? This is your team's third consecutive win of the series?

R.Dravid: We are elated at this series of victories against some of the top teams in fray now. Its all due to the team work of the boys and they deserve the pat. But its not over yet. Either of England or New Zealand can still come hard at us in the next two matches and we need to guard against it.

M.Crowe: What do you think about the pitch?
R.Dravid: I feel nothing can be said about the pitch. It was like playing in a garden full of grass. I have never ever seen such a grassy pitch before in my career!

M.Crowe: How do you consider Sehwag's innings today?
R.Dravid: BRILLIANT!! Considering the pitch, his was a marathon effort. He never flinched and kept keeping the bowlers at bay. Its not the natural Sehwag but we saw a different Sehwag today!

M.Crowe: Thank you for sparing your valuable time to us, Rahul! Wish you good luck.
R.Dravid: Thanks Martin!

BCCI consider sending Ganguly for the final!

The BCCI is considering flying down the Indian captain, Saurav Ganguly to play the final match against either of England or New Zealand. Since India have already qualified for the finals, the BCCI feels that Ganguly can get back with the team for the final itself so that he gets used to the New Zealand climate and the pitches before the test series starts! But the BCCI refuses to divulge any information about it now but the buzz is surely that they are considering sending Ganguly to New Zealand for the final!
