West Indies in England

Windies end up 5/278

England will need 279 to win at a run rate of around 5.6

Chanderpaul ended up on a wonderful 116.

Good score here TBH...i can see WI winning this unless England pull off something special as well.

Chanderpaul is a saviour for WI right now....damn! He doesnt do much wrong at the moment does he?

If Collingwood is there at the end, we will win.

And I am sure, it will be down to him to win it for us since the top order has a rule not to play past 35...

We need a good start with Prior and Cook.
The conditions are much better than earlier in the day.
If someone puts on a partnership like Chanderpaul and Samuels did, England have a chance.
Yardy will have to score some runs to justify his selection seeing as he didn't do the job with the ball that England would of liked .

lol....

But..yh...Collingwood, or basically just one player needs to play a long innings and a few need to get past 50....its not impossible TBH....

A good start is important as well IMO...you cant lose early wickets when chasing 270 odd...but after 10ovrs...you cant be stranded on 25/30-0 when chasing this target.

Cook's batting is almost too technically correct and perfect for ODI's. He's playing how he always plays, but he just cannot find a gap for a single. It's fine in Test Cricket because the fields are either very attacking, with a lot of gaps, or defensive with sweepers leaving gaps. But in ODI's there's more enfisise on plugging gaps. Cook's struggling to find the gaps.

Mind you, if he ends up a 100 from 110 balls I'm not going to complain, even if he is 5 from 20 or something like that at the start.

What was Cook doing?
His role to play safe and let Prior play the big shots early on.
Prior and Bell will have build a partnerhsip.
As I right Bell is gone, a bit unlucky but Windies deserve the luck seeing as they're playing the better cricket in this match.

Emphasis

I still like Cook as an ODI player. He is class as he has shown in Tests and he is a proper opener. He just needs to learn his role properly. It was a poor shot today but he i a quick learner.

Ian Bell getting triggered on his home ground.
That's genuinely one of the worst decisions I've seen in a long time.

OK i've missed most of this, i have to ask what happened to Jimmy?! Broady did alright though, looking at the stats :) Plunkett should never have been dropped and really Monty shouldn't have. Pietersens gone :( Wrong shot but we can't rely on him every time. Maybe that batting depth will come in handy

Its mostly up to Prior since he knows the conditions best after wicketkeeping and the most time at the crease.
He can also play aggressive if Duckworth Lewis gets up.
If he goes now it looks a very difficult task.

20 overs have been passed, so this will be counted as a match. So far West Indies have the advantage since England are under the Duckworth/Lewis. And Prior just got his first ODI fifty.
