he really should have batted another day, just to put the game, erm "beyond reach" :blink: It seems everything Rangeela does is beyond reach, its almost getting boring, i think everyone should reduce the overs if they are going to score silly totals like that, it almost takes the fun out of the actual game cos your opponent really doesn't stand much chance, and the scoring rate is just, well :blink:

How can you reduce the overs bowled for each day to 50?? Sonic any idea? anyone else. Rangeela and I think that will be necessary to make game look some fun for future tests. Give us hints please!!

For some reason when I try to play with your sg file my time is totally changed. It shows Das And Ramesh as opener. I dont know how i can reset this back to the team I already had.
Do I have to have the India.ctm file that I sent to you. Can you send that back to me in case I need to overwrite it or something. i dont know whats going on.

hi sachida,

if you like we can restart the test series due to playing with this format will no way of getting realism in test matches.... I think we should go head with sonic's idea by playing 50 overs a day match
so atleast we can have some tough matches.....

once it reaches the 50 overs than we will count as a end of day one than next day 50 more overs and so on till 5 days.... we can count the overs by looking at the scorecard...

if you like we can restart the series so we can have fair game both side and have fun while playing.... because it all about having fun, not to show who is the best ......
I just like to have entertainment....

Rangeela check your email for further details But I am of opinion of going for 50 overs a game and I think we should take charge of other team and change the field setting to defensive or moderate one after 15 overs to keep the interest alive otherwise we can amass too many runs and will be propted to hit over the heads. Thats not test match, is it? (May be followers of Gilchrist wont agree)

yeah sonic, it just doesnt seems fun playing like this you will always get outrageous scores ,
now the game will be more entertaining after reducing to a 50 overs a day and changing the field setting to defensive after 15 overs.

guys, if I ever get the time and inclination, what is needed is

-better default test fields
-less power in the stroke files for tests

This will increase realism instantly. However just don't have the time at the moment.
However anyone using the field and stroke editor can achieve the above no problem..

So what are you waiting for............... :P

ye zim, I cant actually get rippons field editor to work :blink: It comes up with "runtime error 76" or something. where exactly should i be extracting the darn thing. any help would be appreciated :

I had that probem too-

there are 2 versions of the field editor- sounds like you have the 2nd version
