will bhuvi comes in test

Bhuvanesh can be tried out in tests. He will be especially more useful when we tour abroad where conditions for bowlers are sporting. In Indian wickets, he will have to toil, but with the SA tour in mind, he should be tried out now so that he can ease into the team before that tour.

Shami Ahmed should also be tried out in tests. We should create that pool of bowlers from whom you can pick and choose. Yadav, Ishant, Bhuvi, Shami, Sreesanth, Ishwar Pandey, Pankaj Singh. Regarding spinners, I feel Ashwin's time is up and Harbhajan needs to be back and Ojha should be the frontline spinner in tests. Ashwin is here for his bowling, and he is disappointing at it against better sides.

I alluded to this earlier, before the English series actually, as for Bhuvanesh I think he is headed the same as Ashwin. Shami looks like a good prospect thoguh.

Rather stick with Ashwin than bring back a has-been tbh.

Steve Smith has the IPL experience and he has done well too, I think it is a very good choice.

I have to agree with Warney after seeing Australia's squad against India. If you're classified as a spinner, you can get chosen as a spinner to tour India. Even the Indian pitches can't help ---- bowlers like Doherty. Especially when you don't turn the ball in the first place. I was happy when Beer was ruled out injured since that was going to help the team but they went with an even more horrible option and selected Doherty -_-

O'Keefe, Hauritz, Maxwell and even Muirhead and Agar (who's only played 2 domestic matches) are better spinners than Beer and Doherty. Agar, well he's only played a couple of matches but he can spin the ball and the only left arm spinner that can spin the ball. O'Keefe is a better bowler than Beer and Doherty by some way. They'd be much better off taking Hauritz/O'Keefe and Lyon to India. O'Keefe if you want that left arm option otherwise take the two right handed spinners.

Smith is not test match material. His leg spin has gone off completely and his batting is average at best. And yeah, really, only about 10 of those 17 players deserve a spot in the test squad.

I don't like the squad. Too many players and no second wicket-keeper. I guess Maxwell was always going to be picked, but I'm not a huge fan of his. Probably a better selection than Doherty. Smith shouldn't be there either.

O'Keefe instead of Doherty! I've been calling that over the past 2 years. :facepalm

Smith and Henriques are "allrounders"?
Surely you need to take wickets to be considered an allrounder.
If those two can't take wickets on sporting Australian pitches in what is apparently the weakest domestic competition we have had here in years, how the hell will Henriques and Smith take wickets in India?

I know that is an extreme comment, and I do see natural talent in those two and hope they do well, and can understand the selector's point of view, but it does seem hopeful in the extreme to think they can do anything with the ball over there.

I hope to be proven wrong, because we need guys like that in our team, but only if they are performing.

I hope the selectors follow through and don't discard them to the trash heap too early, because we have invested a lot in them already and it would be a waste, I think one day they will both be useful international cricketers if persisted with.

And I can understand the logic behind including Doherty (international experience, accuracy, and a "safe" option), but O'Keefe looks to be a better bowler, is definitely a better batsman, and consistently picks up more wickets in 4 day cricket.
