Australia tour of India (Feb '17/Mar '17)

Just a glimpse so far of what's gonna happen throughout the series. #4-0

Very, very disappointing the way Australia have collapsed. Conceding 4 wickets to Umesh Yadav of all people is criminal. The pitch is awful to say the least but some of the wickets have been self-inflicted.

You probably have`nt seen the Indian home season. Shami and Yadav were terrific against England/NZ and one of the keys to our bowling efforts. He has been quite exceptional with the old ball today and from an Indian point of view been very heartening. I hope he gets a 5er.

India will make 4/750 declared. Just embarrassing stuff from these weak C's. Matthew Wade is the team because he can supposedly bat but since he's been brought back his highest score in 5 tests is 29 while Nevill made 60 not out against South Africa before the heavy loss that changed everything. Nobody called Marsh should ever play test cricket again, there's 3 scrubs right there that shouldn't be in the team.

750 ? You are stretching it too far. No way it's a 750 pitch. Don't judge until both the teams bat.

5 overs to go, 30 minutes left. How many more can they squeeze in?

Will India bat today? Will Australia survive for the day?

I am expecting that Mitch Starc will bowl well on this pitch, its a dry pitch and Starc's action and speed is probably perfect to extract maximum reverse swing.

Didn't mean any offence, apologies. What I meant was it's annoying when the team prepared so hard to play against the spin triumvirate and then lost 4 wickets to a fast bowler who, despite his excellent form, you wouldn't really expect to take 4 wickets against Australia.

In hindsight, it seems as if Australia became a lot more negative in the second session. The singles had dried up. Didn't really like the way Smith played today, was too defensive at times imo.

What was the point of taking the second new ball? Umesh was superb with the old one.

Now its just coming onto the bat better and Starc might easily take the score from 205 to 250 which might actually be par on this wicket[DOUBLEPOST=1487846238][/DOUBLEPOST]Forget 250 ... 275 on cards now

750? Even a team with 11 Bradman will not score that many runs on this wicket.
I doubt whether the all 4 innings combined would equal 750 in this test match.

We'll see. 750 is an over exaggeration of course but I strongly doubt India bat twice

Happened many times to India especially in 2014 against England when Mooen Ali picked crucial wickets although Umesh is full time pacer when compared to Moeen who is a part timer.

Bonus and very important runs there. The partnership is already worth 36. Pure gold given the situation they are in.

Just me or are the boundaries very small? Starc just miscued a pull and it nearly went for a six.

Hope I don't jinx them but in Starc and O'Keefe, Australia could have its own version of Ashwin and Jadeja - two lower order batsmen who're constantly a thorn in the flesh of the opposition.

Very small boundaries. I don`t know why venues like Pune and Dharamsala are hosting test matches of this magnitude. Just contrast this to what we saw in the England/NZ series where we had full crowds and good pitches.

Can someone jinx Starc please?

India's day, but they would feel Australia have scored 25-30 runs too many.
