Australia tour of India (Feb '17/Mar '17)

Cummins has done a great job :) so far!
Still we need to use him carefully (3 FC matches in a month after 6 years can be bad!) ......

The pitch has eased up sufficiently enough for Pujara and Rahane to make merry now. India should be looking at 450+ since there is little threat from the pitch and the bowlers will inevitably tire out.

Forget 450, we will be lucky to reach 250 from here. Its looking really bleak for us.

Ashwin is just so fluent and easy on the eye with bat in hand! Could pay to watch him bat!

People rave about Pujara, but his method stalls the innings completely. Rahane generally bats more positive than this.

5 down now ! India need to be careful a collapse will put Australia back into the match and the series. With 11 overs to go a crucial half an hour coming up for both sides.

Excellent spell from Lyon since tea. Getting beautiful loop and bounce. Watching Rahane's dismissal, I wonder why Smith doesn't stand at first slip for fast bowlers? Renshaw's inexperience is showing there.

Oh dear. Just dropped a literal 'dolly'. He has had a nightmarish game so far. Failed with the bat and dropped two chances which should have been taken. Hope this doesn't affect him in the next innings.

Pitch has played pretty good so far.
There is enough for both seamers and spinners and if a player sets in then he can score big as well.
Important day for both teams tomorrow
It will be interesting to see how Aussies approach kuldeep yadav in their 2nd innings
To be honest kuldeep yadav did bowl well but bowled too many loose deliveries time and time again and with India being reluctant to not give away too many runs in the 2nd innings it could be handy for Aussies to go on the attack against kuldeep yadav

The pitch is holding okay and has a nice balance. At this point India are ahead. Someone else will have to stand with Smith when the Aussies bat 2nd inns. The Kuldeep threat is ever present and Smith is a great player of spin but who else on the Aussie side can negotiate him? One or two guys got to maybe Warner and Maxwell attack him and destroy his confidence, looks weak and emotional use that against him. These are the times that made Ponting one of the greatest leaders of men he know what he wanted and what needs to be done to get it at any cost!

IMO a target of 200+ will be hard to chase!

Have a feeling that the drop off Saha could be the game changing moment. Games like this are made of fine margins and the momentum could well be with India right now. If they get a lead of around 30-50 runs, they've the game more or less sealed.

Generally it's been a good day for both teams, but Jadeja and Saha have to push on and take at least a 50 run lead if we are to be alive in this test. This partnership is crucial for India''s chances of winning. Pujara and Rahul have played really well, it would've been nice to see either of them push on and make a big score. But at this point I think the match is in balance. A lot of good movement and carry from Hazelwood and Cummins means this pitch is not as easy to bat on. Hazelwood will be the real threat tomorrow I reckon, since created chances for Aus.

I am sensing an early collapse tomorrow, with the ball doing a bit initially Cummins and Hazelwood can run through the Indias lower order.
