Yep. He was flustered by the bad light when he should not have given it too much of importance. The previous ball, his reaction said it all.

Bad light has stopped play now. Hope it stays like this till the end of the day. Sachin, Laxman and Gambhir have played their part in saving this game for India. People cant blame Sachin just because he got out (even if we lose from now on).

Look like it is all over. We clearly played better cricket than India but just lacked that killer blow to finish them off. Very happy with the way we have played though. Punter, Hussey, Watson and Johnson all big positives from the game. Just hope we won't regret about that Harbajan-Zaheer partnership later in the series. Anyway good start to the series , hopefully we can keep this up.

I don't see why people are being so harsh towards White for crying; Cricinfo calling it "a Federer moment" (assuming that is about Federer being so emotional after wins; unless they mean a miracle). His first wicket in test match cricket, and for it to be (arguably) the greatest batsman of all time, well, why wouldn't you?

Who was harsh? None was so far! Its a compliment to Sachin that White cries on getting his wicket (that too at this time when Sachin is not at his peak)

Well in the end it was difficult and a draw was likely, an exciting first encounter, I think Australia will take a lot out of it, having had the chance to win. Looks like we're not on our way to becoming minnows after all

yes, it was an intresting comment from khan about aussies being defensive. he did not need to say it. i said that if india were there abouts to the score of australia, they would have a chance, and that chance came yesterday but they did not take it, but a draw is a fair result.

He's playing mind games with the Aussies. This is actually proper and intelligent sledging, as compared to the ridiculous things that Sreesanth and Harbhajan do. It's going to be in the papers, be discussed by commentators, and Australia's mentality might change if they aren't careful.

For starters,Good to see India not collapsing.
Also good for India is that VVS and Sachin have struck some form as well.Ganguly and Dravid also had a decent outing in the first inning along with Viru and Gambhir.
So all the batsmen have all spent decent amout of time out in the middle and that will serve us well.Our batting will be different in the second test.
