England in Sri Lanka

Was Broad any good on his debut today? Sorry, but I just haven't been able to catch any of the match or highlights at all today.

Despite running on the danger zone in which he got two warnings he did bowl very well by just going at 1.00 an over. Lets hope he stays off that danger zone since England need all the bowlers to remove this Sri Lankan bating line-up on this pitch.

Economic without being dangerous, running on the pitch could pose a problem though, never seen him do it before.

I didn't think Harmy looked to bad today, this pitch is dead. Infact I think I saw a priest giving it the last rights before play yesterday.

Broad was absolutely unbelieveable. Well he did have a catch dropped off his bowling.

England have been rubbish. Never once looked like they could get a wicket except maybe Panesar early in his spell, Broads obviously got the running on the wicket thing on his mind because he's nowhere near as good as I've seen him before, Sri Lanka have batted well and have earnt this though and they noew definitely have the edge. Oh and since when was Pietersen a better bowler than Colly or Monty?

what do you guys think about Vandort? do you think that he has what it takes to be a good international player?

not a god but he could be good :p Well he's knocking up the runs against England so I dont see why not although he could have done better in oz

How much bad luck can England have, this is absolutely ridiculous.

He did? I can't think of one...

KP looking a little threatening here, we've had two catches fall just short. One of kP one off Harmison.

Short leg? Thats what they said on SSN, I wasn't watching live but I heard them mention it

Ah, so the pitch is one of those that even Keanu Reeves has more life than?

The pitch definitely has more life than the one across the Indian Ocean (Bangalore) .
These pitches are killing test cricket. Teams in the subcontinent must go back to preparing dustbowls.

Not playing Anderson was a mistake. Come on England, they really need to get some wickets. Facing Murili will only get harder.

Well, this is my first post, i am from Manchester, England. And just having a look at this thread, the current score is:

Second Test, Colombo (day three):
Sri Lanka 307-3 (99 overs) v England 351

Not looking good for England, Sidebottom with the 3 wickets. :help
