England's tour of India - 2021

Pretty nuts that someone like Bumrah would attract trolls. He is easily the most likeable cricketer of this team, how could someone even fathom having a negative reaction to that bloke!
Captaincy aside, Virat is the most likeable for me.

I am warning you guys of a Kohli blunder tomorrow- He would most probably play Saha and Hardik ahead of Pant & Sundar/Axar.
He has announced that Pant is starting tomorrow.

I hope he does not consider Hardik ahead of Sundar/Axar. He wants the balance of an allrounder as the 5th bowler, and Hardik isn't even bowling right now full throttle and almost nothing anywhere. Picking Hardik as the 7th specialist batsman would be a SHOCKER!

Contrasting views from my side though. :p

I admire his batting and his never say die attitude but sometimes he looks like a clown trying to entertain everyone with his on-field antics and getting into unnecessary controversies.

For me I like Kohli- The person but not Kohli- The Cricketer(batting apart).

Not too sure whether English fans would agree to me but tbh Ollie Pope is a sensational talent. He is young and probably very gritty and someone who would play responsibly given the circumstances. Frankly, he didn't inspire the first time I saw him during the 2018 India tour of England but that entire lot looked lacklusture that time so I wouldn't want to put the blame on him. I feel Root & Pope would be the ones whom England would depend on in this series when it comes to batting.

Also any chances of Amar Virdi to be included tomorrow? They should probably gamble him over Leach and put a surprise element for the Indians.

@Aislabie what's your say on this? Virdi over Leach?

That will not happen, and should not happen.

The only question on the spinning front is between Bess and Moeen

Rohit
Gill
Pujara
Kohli (c)
Rahane
Pant (wk)
Sundar
Ashwin
Kuldeep/Axar
Bumrah
Siraj/Ishant

It obviously won't happen, but my side would be exactly the same as yours, except Pant plays as a batsman and Saha comes in to keep in place of a third spinner
Quite tempted for the same but can't drop Sundar after his Gabba heroics

Keeping Kuldeep as a wrist spinner might come handy on the Chidambaram pitch
