Group C - Canada, England, Kenya, New Zealand

Ok it's not certain but people are acting like Kenya have a better chance than we do when they quite clearly don't.everyone is building this match up like it's going to be close when if we're going to win the world cup we should thrash kenya

That's better :) England will be favourites for the Kenya game no doubt and so they should be, when they add KP back into that batting along with JA they have a very capable side.

Kenya will not beat England. it's simple, they won't. We are to good for them and did you happen to see Plunkett bowl in the CBS. Are attack is more than capable and with players back we can and imo will win the world cup

Please will you give Kenya the credit they deserve? You seem so caught up in the fact that we won the CBS that you have forgotten that we are an awful ODI side. We had 4 good games, that's it. Kenya nearly beat Australia in the last world cup and that's when they were just about untouchable. If they can do that to Australia then they have the potential to make absolute mincemeat out of us.

At least this time we won't have a game in a dangrerous country, so we won't have to forfeit :/

I think New Zealand and England through easy. Kenya and Canada can just provide players free runs and wickets.

Like when that player scored 75 from 62 balls and then took 3/61 with the ball in the last Canada v New Zealand match.

Wait... that was a Canadian player...

But that was Davison. I mean, he's a decent player. We still cantered home anyway.

197 after 23 overs. Had he batted first we coulda been the first team past 400 :(

I think the standard of these second tier teams has improved with all this extra cricket the ICC have them involved in, but I rekon we'll see 400 against someone at some point.

Hoggards stats may not look good but Mahmood goes at 6.01 an over at an average of 41.38. Plunkett averages 35.82 and concedes 5.82.

Kenya will be totally capable of beating England or New Zealand. If England return to their form of just a few weeks ago then they are in real trouble.

Plunkett has recently been bowling very well and Saj Mahmood has a good record against Australia and West Indies while Hoggard has been rubbish since 2001 in ODIs.

Kenya played some decent games last time, but I think NZ and England are far above them. I don't think they could possibly beat either team. The top 8 teams are very close right now. The closest I rekon they have been in ages.

How do you know those wins in the CBS series isn't the start of us becoming a succesful ODI side?

Thats right. I always new England were capable but somehow dint convert ability and potential into performances.

Although it is dangerous to take any game (Kenya and Canada included) lightly, I think England are good enough to win all the group games and go into the super eights with even more confidence.

Yes Kenya have a decent team, but they have gone down since 2003. If they hadn't, they'd be half way up the ODI rankings by now. If they have a good day they could perhaps have a small chance of an upset, but they aren't as strong as they were so both England and NZ should win and comfortabley at that.

I don't take any game lightly, though it's rare, anyone can beat anyone. Kenya and Canada aren't exactly the worst of the non Test teams either. Infact in this tournament I think the non test teams are as good as they've ever been. Ireland are a decent outfit along with Kenya, Canada, etc.

This shuld be an interesting group.
Even if a minnow wins against a major team, its gonna cause a big upset.
