There are only two games that can fill a 512mb + framebuffer at the resolution of 1680x1050 and 1920x1050. Crysis and GTA IV.

Yeah I agree, I've heard Crysis needs like 1300MB framebuffer at 1920x1080 at Very High settings. GTA IV comes no where near Crysis's quality. The stupid thing about that is Crysis actually needs too, whereas GTA IV is simply an example of bad optimization.
It's what GTA was created for. Not for completing missions, but for the high speed chases. If there's a greater thing in gaming than a 5 star police chase in GTA, I haven't played it.If it was anything apart from just "fist fighting" it wouldn't really match the style of the game, you wouldn't expect someone like Niko to be doing all sorts of martial arts or be good at boxing...
That's because it matches the style of that game, I havn't heard much about it but it seems like a cheap GTA rip-off (in the game mechanics/physics etc.) with the stuff that was in SA (and a bit more) thrown into it.
You are only forced to shoot on missions, but you can shoot people whenever you like. Starting shootouts, getting 4 or 5* (or 6 if you can ) and then getting away from the police is quite fun.

OK, I have heard far too many bad reviews around the net from people with very decent systems, so I'm avoiding this one until they fix some of the problems. Price would've dropped by then as well. I might look at Saints Row 2 for now.
is Saints Row 2 released for PC??
The system's pretty lame, IMO. You have to have 2 separate profiles created in LIVE in order to play the game in either offline mode or online mode. If you create a profile while in online, then the profile will work for you ONLY when you're signed in to LIVE. Means that you cant continue a saved game which you were playing using that account, if you are'nt signed in to LIVE.I'm with you there. I've heard that they've made the police much easier to lose now - why did they do that - and you have to have a Windows Live account to save progress in Singleplayer! WTF is that all about??

It's best you create a profile offline. You can always upgrade that profile to LIVE anytime.
