ICCCT2006: Group A

Freddie swings, hits, smashes quick runs, and falls to the monster Gayle. And to top it off, Colly falls in the same over!!

So, England go from threatening to being on the losing side again. How they do it is a mystery to me. Must be a gift...

England do what they usually do; Refuse to make it easier for themselves by batting sensibly. Fred was just daft and Colly, in all fairness, got a good ball. Why the hell can't England chase down a total without collapsing?

If Bell bats through then we win, if he gets out, we lose. Simple as that.

Please Mr. Pieterson bat sensibly Hit the bad balls, nudge the good ones.

138/3 off 25.

It's Pietersen! Why do so many people make that mistake?!

I think England have a slim chance of winning this match if they bat sensibly from here.

Because that's how it's commonly spelled in England perhaps?

Trust me, we haven't seen the proper collapse yet.

That was awful from Ian Bell. Bye bye England, have a nice journey home!

Ian Bell gets run out with an act of laziness that would make even Robert Croft cringe. That's it for England i'm afraid.

Again this is the difference between England ODI side and any other. Two West Indies players make 50 and what do they do? Bat through and convert them to 100's. But when two England players make 50, they both get out straight afterwards.

It depends on KP really. If he's there at the end then this is ours. However, Read looks like a foal on rollerskates whenever he faces a ball. Get Prior or Jones in there.

GaJo! GoJo! GoJo! I was just saying to Shravvers on Live that Chris Read is the best gloveman but his technique and character does it for me.

In this lineup, Jones would comfortably come in no later than six. Why have they picked such a team? We all know there are still batsmen of skill lurking about England. Are all rounders worth having almost no middle order?

With the batting talent Mahmood has, it makes me wish that Mahmood could bowl more consistently. With the pace that he has, he could be a fine bowler with a little consistency, and with him adding in these 20-30 runs every match, he could be a decent mini-allrounder.

Completely forgot this match was today. No doubt Jon Lewis will be dropped for our next Odi in Australia
