ICCCT2006: Group A

I was bang on. Show run rate and wickets tumbling after each other.

Typical.

I think their main probelm is that they don't play positivly enough at the start. Put pressure on the bowler not on yourself.

England now will be looking to bat the 50 and take whatever they manage to put on the board. There is some batting to come but wickets can't be lost.

Do they learn anything at all from game to game???

It was difficult early on as there were inconsistent bounce produced by the seamers so I really didn't expect England to go all guns blazing. The pitch seems to be easier to bat on as each over passes by.

As I speak Read is gone. What was he trying to do?? Must be trying to emulate a Dhoni performance.

mahmoods now gone, they could be bowled out for under 125.. :eek

Powar does not look like he has fast reflexes, but just there it was shown that he is like a cat :p.

It looks like it is going to be out AND...it is.

England 125 a/o

England has batted like I expected. India should win this one very easily.

India did bowl well, I think the Bell decision triggered it all off, clearly not out and even the most biassed Indian fans will accept he wasn't out.

We change our team too much, Yardy at 6/7. Colly at 5, Kp at 4.

Read with a poor shot, Jones wouldn't have lasted any longer with spinners on rotation...

Got to stick with Read though, keep him for the ICC and the Ashes, then think of replacement if need be.

18/3 off 8 overs.
A pretty good start by England then...
I'm starting to doubt if this team could beat Bangladesh or Zimbabwe.
I'm starting to see why England have cancelled their ODI against Scotland next year!

We might be bad, But Bangladesh, Zimbabwe or Scotland?

I do realise you are probably being a bit sarcastic/provocative.

what a guess by me :p i hope anderson gets a few wickets good bowler

This England outfit really doesn't look the same without Michael Vaughan out there captaining and the likes of Trescothick, Jones, Hoggard not out there. To go with that, the fact that Flintoff won't be bowling.

Where are my posts dissapearing??

Let me repeat:

Irfan is BACK!!
Whoo India! :)

Should be an easy win. 37/1 after 3 overs :) Viru out after a 9 off 4 balls...

It really is pathetic stuff by England and now I really do have a strong feeling that Bangladesh or Zimbabwe can knock off this current team. How can they be performing so disastrously after performing rather decently against Pakistan at home in the ODI series??

After this performance by India today I would certainly back them to qualify to the semis but we all know how inconsistent they are.

Think you're exaggerating that a little to much? Bangladesh? Maybe. But Zimbabwe? lol

It wouldn't supprise me if they knock off the Aussies because it could very well be the game where they give Katich a go.

I'm supprised how such a talented team can go so badly.

8 wides already (6.5 overs)that just about sums up England's recent ODI performances.

India 50-1.

funny thing is so far Saj has been bowling the best out of the 3 but with him that might change quickly. england arent gona win anything with performances like these and it dont get any easier for them with windies and ausises.
