Yep, that's why you'd get rid of two guys that aren't test standard.
But dropping someone who is`nt test standard does`nt ensure you that the person you bring in as a replacement is test standard. Dropping Iqbal and bringing in Afridi as a replacement batsman is hardly a test class replacement which is precisely what is Pakistan`s problem at the moment. They managed to lose a test against NZ and that does`nt happen often.
Yasir Hameed looked like a decent talent but he did not get a lot of chances. I liked the look of that opener who played the ODIs against NZ at Abu Dhabi. His technique looked reasonably okay to me. Other than that, I can`t think of a lot of options, to be honest. Maybe Shoaib Malik but he is hardly a test quality batsman either, although I`d rate him far higher than Iqbal who has`nt done anything in any form of the game.
