Would prefer to see Akmal as a batsman in place of Iqbal at no.3. Much more suited to the role then Faisal. Wished we had Alam too to fill Misbah's position. I reckon Umar Akmals gonna go have a "bad" test. What are the conditions like

Katich passed fit and from what I heard Hughes was let go from the squad yesterday to join the Blues.

Although he struggled through it, I really liked the fight Hughes showed in that 37 at the SCG. In the end it was a shame he got out because he'd done all the hard work and was just starting to look comfortable. And that's exactly what I wanted to see from him - the ability to fight and not throw the bat at everything. He'll be a better player for it. He's virtually a lock for the NZ tour anyway so he'll be back.
