I don't get why Yousuf is still captain. He's terrible at it. Afridi did well as captain in the T20 WC so why not give it to him? When you see him in the field he looks like the Captain anyway. He's actually out there encouraging players and looking as though he gives a crap.

You don't know that, Hussey looked in good touch and Haddin plays in a similar style. And to be honest, Pakistan didn't look like they were going to takes wickets without hitting out.
Nevertheless, he performed when needed.

It was a bit strange how the 1st new ball for Pakistan did so much, and the 2nd didn't.
Ponting and Clarke again did a good job of seeing out the hand grenade period like they did at Hobart. That was the match decider IMO, we didn't collapse when maybe we were expected to. The latter batsmen like White and Hussey definetly had it easier.

Good century by White, showing some good form lately in ODIs. Ajmal and Rana were useless. Gul should come in for Rana.

Ajmal had a rare bad game. Thought we had done exceptionally well to do score a great score and thought luck was with us the way Afridi was going. Nice improvised knock from Butt and Younis made a decent comeback. Afridi failed to inspire with the bowl but Aamer was sensational. Agree with Dare, Gul needs to be in there for Rana. The thing with Rana is that on some days he will be exceptional and on others he will be hopeless. Gul is consistent enoug to perform decently

I think they also expected Rana to score a bit with the runs and there is no need for that. He just isn't that kind of player at the international level. He doesn't even offer that much with the ball, while Gul offer much more. Gul is one of the best bowlers at the death and can bowl yorkers at will.
